S.A. Film Academy (SAFA) organised a five-day workshop on “Basics of Film Making Techniques” from May 11 to 15 at its Chennai campus. The programme aimed to provide aspiring filmmakers and media students with practical exposure to filmmaking, cinematography, editing, direction, and digital media production through interactive sessions and demonstrations.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Thiru. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, S.A. Institutions. Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, Principal, S.A. College of Arts & Science, stressed the importance of experiential learning and professional skill development in media education.
The sessions were coordinated by Prof. R.D. Balaji, Director, SAFA, focusing on bridging academic learning with real-world filmmaking practices and emerging creative technologies. Students from various disciplines actively participated and gained hands-on training in visual storytelling and cinematic production. Participation certificates were distributed to all successful participants at the valedictory session.
