Our Men’s Handball team won the 2nd place Runner-up Trophy and Merit Certificate in the University of Madras B-zone Men Handball Tournament 2024-2025 at Nazareth College Avadi Chennai. In this tournament, our team won the First round against Pachaiyapas college(15/02), won the Second round match against KCS Kasinadar College (10/04) , won the 3rd round Semifinal match against St’Thomas College (12/04), and Final match against Nazareth College 02/16.

Shakthivel of 1st BSC AI, won Silver Medal (Rifle 3 Position Junior Men and Bronze Medal (in the 3 Position Men) 50 meters Rifle Shooting at the15th All India Southzone Shooting Championship 2024, on 13/10/2024 to 20/10/2024 at Gurunanak College, Velacheri, Chennai.

Our top athlete from the University of Madras, Dr. Sir A. L. Mudhaliar, meet double bronze medalist R. R. Shaalu from 1st MBA, who won the silver medal in the 20 kilometers walk (50 rounds of a 400-meter track) with a time of 2 hours and 5 minutes at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai, during the Dr. Sir A. L. Mudaliar Golden Jubilee Commemoration 56th Athletic Meet 2024.

SACAS’s top women weightlifter, University & C.M. Trophy Gold medalist, R.V. Oviya from 1st B.Sc. NFSM&D, has been selected to represent the University of Madras Women Weightlifting team in the 45 kg category. She will participate in the All India University South West Zone Women Weightlifting Championship 2024, which will be held at Acharya Nagarjuna University, New Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from November 25th to 29th, 2024.
