The Department of English, in association with IQAC and NDLI, S.A. College of Arts & Science, is organising the Inauguration of the Literary Association – “The Renaissance,” along with the Book Release of Ink & Infinity and an Orientation Programme on “Words that Work: The Career Power of an English Degree” on 17th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Preview Theatre.

The session will be delivered by Dr. Ramana Devika, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. The programme aims to introduce students to the Literary Association and its activities while inspiring them to explore the diverse career opportunities available through an English degree. The resource person will highlight the importance of communication, critical thinking, creativity, and language skills in today’s competitive professional world.

The event will also witness the release of the department’s book, Ink & Infinity, celebrating the literary talent and creative expression of students. The programme promises to motivate young learners to actively participate in literary pursuits, enhance their academic and professional aspirations, and make the most of the opportunities offered by the Department of English.
