The Central Library of S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, is organizing a Guest Talk on “Read, Learn, Succeed: Leveraging Library Resources for Competitive Exams” in connection with the celebration of Librarians’ Day.

The programme is organized as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between S.A. College of Arts & Science and Anna Centenary Library, Chennai, in 2025. The initiative aims to create awareness among students about the importance of reading habits, effective utilization of library resources, and systematic preparation for various competitive examinations.

The Guest Talk will be held on 14th August 2026 (Friday) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m at the College Auditorium. The programme is intended for both Undergraduate Postgraduate (PG) students.
The session will be delivered by Dr. S Manikandan, Librarian & Information Officer, Anna Centenary Library, Chennai, who will share valuable insights on identifying and utilizing relevant print and electronic library resources, developing effective reading strategies, improving comprehension skills, and preparing systematically for competitive examinations.
The programme is expected to motivate students to cultivate regular reading habits and make effective use of the extensive resources and services available through the library. It will also encourage students to view the library as an essential learning space for academic excellence, competitive examination preparation, and lifelong learning.
The Central Library cordially invites all UG and PG students and faculty members to actively participate in this informative and enriching programme.
