SACAS Participates in Conference on Electoral Literacy and ECINET

S.A. College of Arts & Science actively participated in a Conference on Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) and ECINET held at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai. The college delegation comprised 22 students, two faculty coordinators, and the Principal, who joined around 1,000 delegates representing 300 schools, 25 universities, 75 colleges, and 500 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from across Tamil Nadu.

The conference focused on promoting electoral awareness, encouraging democratic participation, and highlighting the role of technology in the electoral process. The Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Electoral Officer, Tamil Nadu, delivered insightful addresses on electoral literacy, voter participation, and citizens’ responsibilities in a democracy.

An interaction with BLOs provided valuable insights into their role in ensuring an efficient and transparent electoral process. The participation of the S.A. College delegation was informative, engaging, and enriching.
