The Department of Commerce (Bank Management), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised an Indian Knowledge System (IKS) One-Day Trip to Mahabalipuram on 5 September 2026. Around 100 students, accompanied by faculty members, participated in the educational visit.

The trip aimed to provide students with experiential learning and an opportunity to explore India’s rich cultural heritage, history, traditional knowledge, architecture, and artistic excellence. Students visited significant Pallava-era monuments, temples, sculptures, stone carvings, and architectural structures, observing their intricate craftsmanship and engineering brilliance.

The visit enabled students to connect IKS concepts with real-world heritage and understand the importance of preserving India’s historical treasures. Beyond academics, the trip fostered teamwork, friendship, cooperation, and cultural appreciation among the participants. The memorable experience combined learning, exploration, and enjoyment, leaving students with valuable insights and lasting memories.
