The Department of Home Science – Nutrition, Food Service Management & Dietetics and the Department of Commerce (Computer Applications), S.A. College of Arts & Science, jointly celebrated Krishna Janmashtami on 3 September 2026 at the Physiology Lab with great devotion and enthusiasm.

The celebration commenced with a special pooja in honour of Lord Krishna, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere on campus. Students rendered melodious devotional songs and offered a variety of traditional palagarams, reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival. A Drawing Competition was also organised, where students displayed their artistic talents through creative paintings and sketches portraying Lord Krishna.

The celebration was graced by Dr. Anbalagan S., Principal, Dr. Sayi Satyavathi V., Director, and Dr. Prabhakar K.S., Director – CDC & Administration, along with faculty members and students.

The departments expressed their sincere gratitude to Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, for his constant encouragement and support in organising the celebration. The event beautifully blended devotion, creativity, culture, and community spirit, making the occasion truly memorable.
