The PG Department of Computer Science, through the Nexus Technovate Club, organized a Human Chain as an extension activity to commemorate World Organ Donation Day on 13 August 2026 at 8:15 a.m. at the SACAS Gate. The initiative aimed to create awareness about the importance of organ donation and inspire students to recognize it as a meaningful act that can save lives.
Students and participants came together to form a human chain, symbolizing unity, solidarity, compassion, and collective responsibility towards the noble cause of organ donation. The activity created a strong visual message for the college community and encouraged participants to learn more about organ donation and share awareness with others.
Through this initiative, students spread the message that a single decision to donate organs can offer hope and a new lease of life to those in need. The programme also promoted values of social responsibility, empathy, and community service.
The Human Chain was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation, creating greater awareness about the significance of organ donation and inspiring the college community to support this life-saving cause.
