The PG Department of Computer Science, in association with The Nexus Technovate Club, organised an Alumni Talk – “ALUMNIXCHANGE 2.0” on 24 September 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at SF 21, S.A. College of Arts & Science. The programme aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the IT industry, career opportunities, professional skills, and the transition from academics to the workplace.
The session featured two distinguished alumni as resource persons: Mr. Saravanan M, Scholar Trainee, Wipro Technologies, Chennai, and Mr. Praveen Kumar G, Administrator – Cloud Data Center, Wipro Technologies, Coimbatore. They shared their academic and professional experiences and highlighted the importance of technical and problem-solving skills, continuous learning, programming, cloud technologies, communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
An interactive student–alumni discussion provided students with an opportunity to clarify their queries on career preparation, industry expectations, technical skills, and professional growth. The speakers also encouraged students to pursue projects, internships, certifications, technical events, and skill-development activities.
The programme served as a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing, career guidance, and strengthening alumni–student connections, motivating students to prepare for emerging opportunities in the IT industry.
