S.A. College of Arts & Science organised the NSS Orientation Programme and NSS Day Celebration on 24 September 2026 as part of its commitment to community service and social responsibility. The programme was inaugurated by Thiru P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, S.A. Institutions.

The event was graced by Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi, Director, Dr. K. S. Prabhakar, Director – Administration, Training and Placement, and Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, who delivered their special addresses and encouraged students to actively engage in social service activities.

The Chief Guest, Mr. C. Jayachandran, Assistant Commissioner, Avadi Traffic Sub-Division, Avadi Police Commissionerate, addressed the students on the importance of NSS activities such as tree planting, blood donation, and community service. He highlighted how such initiatives help students develop their personality, leadership, and sense of social responsibility. He also emphasised the importance of road safety and encouraged students to follow traffic rules and create awareness among others.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. K. Suresh, NSS Coordinator, and served as a meaningful platform to inspire students towards community service, responsible citizenship, and social awareness.
