The Department of Commerce – Computer Applications, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised the Inauguration Ceremony of the ‘ComTech’ Forum on 7 October 2026 at 1:00 p.m. The programme aimed to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication skills, and active participation in departmental activities. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Latha.

As part of the inauguration, students were introduced to the various responsibilities and activities of the forum. Badges were presented to the student members according to their assigned roles, encouraging them to take greater responsibility and actively contribute to academic, co-curricular, and departmental activities.

The programme was followed by a special lecture titled “From Graduate to Professional: Building Successful Employee–Employer Relationships”, delivered by Mrs. Kavitha Sasikumar, an HR and Marketing professional, entrepreneur, social leader, and social welfare enthusiast.

She shared valuable insights on transitioning from college life to the professional workplace and highlighted the importance of communication, professional behaviour, confidence, teamwork, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and positive workplace relationships. The session provided students with practical guidance to prepare for a successful professional journey.
