The Department of Computer Application, of S.A College of Arts & Science conducted a two-day industrial visit to AVA Cholayil Health Care Pvt. Ltd. on 06th January 2026 and 07th January 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the healthcare and personal care manufacturing industry.
AVA Cholayil Health Care Pvt. Ltd. is a reputed organization known for its herbal and Ayurvedic-based healthcare products. During the visit, students observed real-time production processes, including raw material selection, formulation, mixing, filling, and packaging. They also gained knowledge about quality control measures, hygiene standards, safety practices, and regulatory compliance followed in healthcare manufacturing units.
The visit highlighted the integration of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern technology, automation, and information systems. Students also learned about inventory management, supply chain operations, branding, and distribution strategies. Golu Celebration on 27.09.2025
The sixth day of the Golu Pooja celebration was organized by the Department of B.Com Bank Management and B.Com Computer Applications with devotion and cultural vibrancy. The program began with traditional rituals and offerings, highlighting the principles of Indian Knowledge Systems that emphasize discipline, gratitude, and harmony. Faculty members and students actively participated, creating a spiritual and serene environment.A key highlight was the devotional songs performed by the students. With devotion and melody, they rendered bhajans and keerthanas that invoked divine blessings and elevated the collective spirit of the gathering. Their performance reflected the timeless values of bhakti (devotion) and samskara (cultural refinement), central to Indian traditions, showing how art and spirituality are interwoven in our heritage.The Golu display symbolized the journey of wisdom and cultural continuity, while the pooja reinforced humility, faith, and unity. The event strengthened departmental bonds and nurtured appreciation of India’s rich spiritual legacy.

The Department of Computer Application & Commerce , S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized the Inaugural Ceremony of the Integrity Club on 29th August 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the SACAS Auditorium. The eventwas attended by 120 students, aimed to instill values of honesty, ethics, and responsibility, in line with SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
The program began with a welcome address followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the formal launch of the club. The Guest of Honour, Shri. N. Sridhar, CGM (L&D), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the role of integrity in personal and professional growth. He shared real-life corporate experiences that highlighted how ethics and responsibility shape strong leaders.
Students then took an Oath of Integrity, pledging to uphold truth, fairness, and accountability. Certificates of participation were distributed, marking their commitment to ethical conduct.
The event created a strong impact, motivating students to embrace integrity as a lifelong value. It also laid the foundation for future awareness programs and activities under the Integrity Club, promoting a culture of fairness and respect on campus.

Smart Money Moves: Wealthwise Talks Empowers Students with Financial Wisdom at SACAS On 14th August 2025, the Department of Computer Application at S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a special event titled “Wealthwise Talks – Focus on Fostering Financial Awareness” at the Preview Theatre from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The session aimed to educate students on personal finance, savings, investment planning, and wealth management.
Mr. T. Baskaran, Trainer at NCFE (National Centre for Financial Education), served as the resource person. The session was attended by 80 students who actively engaged in the discussion.
The two-hour lecture covered essential topics such as financial literacy, budgeting, mutual funds, stock markets, SIPs, risk management, and insurance planning. Real-life examples and case studies helped students understand practical aspects of money management.
An interactive Q&A session followed, where students shared their views and cleared doubts about financial planning.
The session boosted students’ financial confidence and encouraged them to take responsible steps toward financial independence. All participants received certificates for their enthusiastic involvement.

Creating a POSHitive Workplace: Students Take a Stand for Safety and Respect at SACAS.
The Department of Computer Application at S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a powerful awareness session titled “POSHitive Workplace – Safety with Respect” on 12th August 2025, focusing on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013. Around 200 students participated in this two-hour interactive event led by Mrs. Sudha Murali, a certified POSH & POCSO enabler and corporate trainer.
The session aimed to create awareness about sexual harassment at workplaces, educate students on their rights, and encourage respectful behavior. Key topics included types of harassment, complaint procedures, and real-life case studies. Students actively engaged in role-plays, group discussions, and Q&A sessions, making the session lively and impactful.
Participants left the event feeling confident and informed. Certificates were given to all attendees, acknowledging their commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces. The session inspired many to become awareness ambassadors in their future workplaces and communities.

The day began with an international seminar titled “Triumph Through Balance: The Self-Victory Formula”, held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Google Meet. The session featured Dr. Gopu Chandran Lenin Perumal, Associate Professor and Deputy Dean from a reputed Dental college in Malaysia. He shared powerful insights on achieving self-victory through emotional balance, time management, and mental resilience. His scientific approach, real-life examples, and interactive Q&A session left a lasting impact on both students and faculty.
Following the seminar, a vibrant Freshers’ Day celebration welcomed the new batch of students from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the college auditorium. The event featured a graceful Bharatanatyam performance, an introductory video, badge distribution, and lively cultural programs by senior students. Singing, games, and a showstopping dance performance brought fun and unity to the gathering.

Held from 8:15 to 9:30 AM on the college campus road, the event drew enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. The session was led by the esteemed Dr. S. Smile Bose, an accomplished academic and motivational speaker with significant expertise in entrepreneurial mindset development. This empowering session aimed to equip students with the psychological and emotional tools necessary to transform fear and uncertainty into confidence and proactive decision- making in their entrepreneurial journeys.
