S.A. College of Arts and Science Hosts HR Conclave 3.0 in Association with WOW HR Chennai, October 11: The Career Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts and Science, in association with WOW HR, successfully organized HR Conclave 3.0 on September 20 and October 11, 2025. The two-day conclave served as a vibrant platform for Industry–Academia interaction, bringing together several eminent HR professionals and corporate experts from reputed organizations.
Each day featured three engaging sessions, focusing on key aspects such as career preparedness, communication skills, professional growth, and leadership development. The sessions provided students with valuable insights into recruitment strategies, workplace expectations, and emerging HR trends.
Through interactive discussions and expert-led dialogues, students gained practical exposure to the corporate world and learned the importance of skill enhancement, adaptability, and confidence in shaping successful careers. Sacas Golu Celebration on 26.09.2025
DAY - 5
The fifth day of the Golu Celebration was successfully organized by the Department of Commerce General, the Department of Mathematics, and the Placement Cell, integrating the theme with the Indian Knowledge System. The event highlighted the ‘Evolution of Banking’ through an innovative display that traced the journey of financial practices from traditional barter systems to the digital banking era, showcasing how India’s ancient wisdom continues to influence modern economic frameworks. A special attraction was the miniature representation of a Balance Sheet, creatively designed by students to illustrate the fundamentals of accounting in a simple yet effective manner. This exhibit emphasized the importance of financial literacy in today’s world and its direct link to sustainable economic growth. The celebration not only blended tradition with modern knowledge but also encouraged students to connect academic learning with cultural values, aligning with the holistic vision of the Indian Knowledge System and the Sustainable Development Goals.

SACAS Signs MoU with FLATTRADE to Boost Student Career Opportunities.
S.A. College of Arts & Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FLATTRADE on August 14, 2025, to enhance learning and career prospects for students of the School of Management. The collaboration focuses on key areas such as internships, placements, curriculum development, Faculty Development Programs, conferences, and workshops, especially in Finance and Business Analytics.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Shivaraj Dakshinamoorthy, Director – IT, and Mr. Ganesh Babu S, HR Manager from FLATTRADE. Representing SACAS were Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, Principal; Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent; Dr. Viji R, Director – School of Management; and Dr. K.S. Prabakar, Director – Career Development Cell.

Career Development Cell organized the “Placement Day 2025” celebration, which aimed to honour the alumni who had been placed in reputed corporate companies by issuing their offer letters.
The celebration started at 12:00 p.m. with the welcome address by Mrs. D. Mathivadhini, Assistant Professor, Department of Corporate Secretaryship. Dr. K. S. Prabhakar, Director of the Career Development Cell, presented the Annual Placement Report 2024-2025 which highlighted the training and placement drives such as department-specialized Value Added Courses, Aptitude training of varied difficulty to all years, HR conclaves, Faculty Development Programmes,etc and gave an overview about the percentage of passed-out students who have engaged in entrepreneurship, higher education and students who have placed.
Respected Principal, Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar delivered a special address, giving valuable guidelines on the importance of training and placement efforts,
The Chief Guest for the celebration, Mr. Joshwa David, India Campus Head – Mphasis delivered the guest address, in which he highlighted the importance of continuous learning, adaptability to new environment and technological mastery. He instilled the ideology of D.A.T.E - Discipline, Attitude, Time Management and Empathy, and the ideology of H.H.H – Being Human, Being Humble and Being Happy. He also touched upon the attitude and different skills that a candidate must have while attending interviews.
