S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nabati through the Department of B.Sc. Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening industry–academia collaboration and enhancing student employability.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations by providing students with practical exposure and career-oriented opportunities. Under the MoU, students will benefit from industry-focused training, internships, skill development programmes, expert lectures, placement assistance, and hands-on learning experiences aligned with current technological advancements.
The collaboration is expected to equip students with the professional competencies required to succeed in the rapidly evolving job market while fostering innovation and experiential learning. Faculty members of the Department of B.Sc. Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence played a vital role in establishing the partnership.

The Career Development Cell (CDC) of S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized a campus recruitment drive in collaboration with K12 Techno Service Pvt. Ltd. on 03 August 2026. The programme aimed to provide students with valuable career opportunities and strengthen industry-academia collaboration.

The recruitment drive began with a Pre-Placement Talk, where company representatives introduced the organization, explained job roles, career growth opportunities, and outlined the recruitment process. The informative session helped students understand the company's work culture and hiring expectations.

An Aptitude Test was conducted as the first stage of the selection process, with enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines. The participants showcased their analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and readiness to begin their professional careers.

First-year students gained an early understanding of the CA pathway and the skills required, while second-year students received guidance on registration, study planning and balancing academic and CA preparation. The programme motivated students to make informed decisions and pursue professional careers in accountancy and finance with confidence.

The Department of Mathematics, S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS), in association with the Career Development Cell (CDC) and IQAC, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM), Singapore, on 2 July 2026 at the college campus. The initiative was taken under the guidance and support of Thiru P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, reflecting the institution's commitment to strengthening global academic partnerships. Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, introduced the chief guests, while Dr. K. S. Prabakar, Director – CDC & Admin, delivered the special address. The MoU aims to promote academic and research collaboration through faculty and student exchange, learning opportunities, and the sharing of academic resources. Mr. Raymond Khoo, Vice President, Student Recruitment, Admission and Student Services, and Ms. Tanny Htet Htet, Deputy Director, Student Recruitment and Admission, NIM, conducted an awareness session on higher education opportunities in Singapore. The Career Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized Placement Day 2026 on 30th March 2026 at the college auditorium. The programme was conducted to celebrate the remarkable placement achievements of students and to motivate them to build a strong professional future.

The programme was graced by Mr. N. Lakshminarasimhan, Senior General Manager, Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., who delivered an inspiring address emphasizing integrity, discipline, and continuous learning for career success.

Placement Day 2026 reflected the institution’s strong commitment towards academic excellence and industry collaboration. This year, the highest salary package offered to students was ₹8.5 LPA. More than 700 students were successfully placed through the efforts of the Career Development Cell, and over 50 reputed recruiters participated in the placement process.

The highlight of the programme was the distribution of offer letters to the selected students. The presence of parents made the event more emotional and memorable, as many parents expressed their pride and happiness while witnessing their children receive placement offers. Students also shared heartfelt feedback and thanked the Career Development Cell for their continuous support and guidance.

Another proud moment of the programme was the honouring of the Placement Coordinator and the Placement Assistance team for their dedicated efforts in guiding students and achieving successful placements. Their contribution was appreciated by the management, faculty members, students, and parents.
