The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science organized Arise, a Club Orientation Program, on 11.02.2026 from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm at the SACAS Preview Theatre. Around 100 Rotaract students actively participated in the program. The session aimed to introduce the objectives, values, and activities of Rotaract. The chief guest, Rtr. PP. Vignesh Kumar PS, delivered an inspiring speech about leadership, teamwork, and community service. He motivated the students to actively involve themselves in social initiatives. The program concluded successfully with an interactive session, encouraging students to grow and serve society through Rotaract.

The Red Ribbon Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized a vibrant Rangoli Competition that combined creativity with an important message of cancer awareness. The event aimed to spread awareness among students through art and teamwork.
A total of 12 teams participated with great enthusiasm. Each team consisted of three members who worked together to create meaningful rangoli designs. The students used bright and attractive colors to express strong messages about cancer awareness, prevention, and support for patients. Their artistic ideas clearly showed their understanding and social responsibility.
The competition created a lively and energetic atmosphere across the campus. Students displayed passion, coordination, and creativity while preparing their designs. The event also encouraged unity and awareness among participants and viewers.
Overall, the Rangoli Competition was a great success. It not only highlighted the artistic talents of students but also helped in spreading an important social message about cancer awareness in a creative and impactful way.

National Voter’s Day Pledge Observed at SACAS
The National Voter’s Day Pledge was observed on 24 January 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the college premises of S.A. College of Arts & Science. The programme was organized by the Rotaract Club with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of voting and active participation in the democratic process.
Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the event. During the pledge, participants reaffirmed their responsibility to vote ethically, responsibly, and without fear or external influence. The programme highlighted the role of young voters in upholding democratic values and strengthening the electoral system of the nation.
The event successfully inspired students to recognize the power of their vote and encouraged them to contribute positively to a strong and responsible democracy.

The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science organised a vibrant Christmas celebration on 24 December 2025 at the college premises. The event brought together students, faculty members, and volunteers, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere across the campus.
The programme featured melodious Christmas carols that filled the venue with warmth and cheer, along with interactive activities that engaged participants and reflected the true spirit of the season. Through the celebrations, Rotaract Club members emphasised values such as sharing, compassion, unity, and social responsibility, reminding students of the broader social significance of Christmas.
The celebration fostered a strong sense of togetherness and goodwill among the college community. A Breast Cancer Awareness walk titled *“One Walk, One Hope”* was organized by the District Rotaract Council on 26th October 2025 at Island Ground from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. Rotaract and RRC students from S.A. College of Arts & Science enthusiastically participated in the walk, holding placards and raising slogans to promote women’s health. The initiative encouraged participants and the public to support regular health check-ups and extend hope to those fighting cancer, emphasizing that awareness can save lives.

The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Rotary Club of Ambattur (RID 3234/Rising Group 01), successfully organized “The Mentor Mashup 2025” at the SACAS Preview Theatre. The event was held to celebrate and recognize the significant contributions of faculty members in shaping the academic and personal growth of students.
During the event, four distinguished faculty members were formally honored for their exceptional dedication to mentoring, inspiring students, and fostering a culture of knowledge and excellence. The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science organized grand Onam celebrations on 4th September 2025, marking the occasion with cultural vibrancy and festive spirit. The programme brought together students, faculty, and staff in a memorable celebration of tradition and togetherness.
The festivities began with the Onam Pookalam competition, held at the College Auditorium. Each department presented a floral carpet, symbolizing harmony and creativity. Teams of six participants showcased intricate designs within the allotted time of one hour. The auditorium radiated colour and artistry, capturing the cultural essence of Onam.
Simultaneously, the Onam Sadya was organized at the Nutrition Lab and college premises. Departments contributed a variety of pre-cooked traditional dishes, reflecting the culinary heritage of Kerala. The Sadya not only highlighted the richness of festive cuisine but also strengthened bonds among students and staff through the spirit of sharing.
Both events witnessed enthusiastic participation and wholehearted involvement from every department. The coordinated efforts, vibrant atmosphere, and active student engagement ensured the success of the celebration. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and a deep sense of cultural pride.

The event, exclusively designed for students, aimed to empower young minds with valuable insights into health, lifestyle, and personal growth.
The highlight of the program was the presence of Dr. Srinivasan Ganesan, MD (General Medicine), who served as the Guest Speaker. With his vast expertise and inspiring perspective, Dr. Srinivasan delivered an engaging session that emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle, cultivating healthy habits, and adopting a positive mindset. His address not only focused on physical well-being but also shed light on the significance of mental resilience and personal discipline in shaping a successful future.

The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ambattur (RI District 3234 / Rising Group 1), hosted an inspiring session titled “Why Rotary? Why Rotaract?” on August 9, 2025.
The event featured Rtn. Biju Narayanan as the chief guest and keynote speaker. He spoke about the mission and values of Rotary and Rotaract, focusing on service, leadership, and global connection. He also shared real-life success stories from Rotary projects that motivated students to become changemakers.
The session was interactive, with students actively participating, asking questions, and showing keen interest in joining future Rotaract initiatives.
