S.A. College of Arts & Science, through the Department of Bank Management, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a Human Chain Formation for HIV/AIDS Awareness on 19 August 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the SAEC Gate. Around 150 students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the awareness initiative. Students formed a human chain and displayed placards carrying meaningful messages on HIV/AIDS prevention, healthy practices, social acceptance, compassion, and the importance of eliminating stigma and misconceptions. The activity created a powerful visual message of unity and collective responsibility while helping spread authentic information about HIV/AIDS among the public. The programme also encouraged students to understand the importance of health education, preventive awareness, social responsibility, and community participation. The initiative successfully transformed student participation into a meaningful public awareness campaign, reinforcing the message that knowledge, empathy, and collective action are essential for building an informed and stigma-free society.
