The Department of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) and the PG Department of Commerce (General), in association with the Women Empowerment Cell of S. A. College of Arts & Science, organised a Menstrual Awareness and Hygiene Programme on 29 September 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at the SACAS Auditorium.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about menstrual health, personal hygiene, well-being, and the importance of addressing myths and misconceptions related to menstruation. Dr. Gayathri, MBBS, MS OG, MRCOG, served as the Resource Person and provided students with valuable insights into menstrual health and hygiene.
The session highlighted healthy hygiene practices, menstrual well-being, and the importance of approaching menstrual health with knowledge and confidence. It also encouraged students to develop an open and informed understanding of menstruation.
The programme was convened by Dr. P. Karthika, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Commerce (Accounting & Finance), and Ms. Swetha R, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce (General).
