SACAS Inaugurates Corporate Governance Professionals’ Association.

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship, S.A. College of Arts & Science, inaugurated the Corporate Governance Professionals’ Association (2026–27) and organised a Career Awareness Session on the Company Secretary Profession on 22 July 2026 at the SACAS Auditorium. The session was led by Mr. G. Balaji, FCS, CMA, LL.B. (Hons.), Deputy General Manager (Legal & Compliance), ESAB India Limited, Chennai. He explained the importance of the Company Secretary profession, its career opportunities, and the steps to become a qualified CS through the CSEET, Executive, and Professional Programmes. He also highlighted the role of Company Secretaries in ensuring corporate governance, legal compliance, and ethical business practices. The programme included an inspiring alumni interaction, distribution of appointment letters and association badges to office bearers, oath-taking, and certificate distribution for students who excelled in disaster management activities and national-level research publications. The event motivated students to pursue successful careers in corporate governance.
