SACAS Students Learn Smart Calculation Techniques Through Vedic Maths Session.

The Corporate Governance Professionals’ Association, under the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized Student Knowledge Transformation Study Circle #17 on “Vedic Maths – Smart Tricks for Faster Calculations” on 17 July 2026. The session was presented by Ms. Lakshanya C.R. and Mr. Harish G., III Year students, and was attended by 200 students.

The presenters introduced the fundamentals of Vedic Mathematics, explaining how its ancient techniques help simplify calculations through logical mental methods. They demonstrated important Vedic Sutras, including Ekadhikena Purvena, Nikhilam Navatashcaramam Dashatah, Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam, Yavadunam, and Ekanyunena Purvena, with practical examples.

Students actively participated in solving problems involving quick multiplication and squaring techniques, improving their speed, accuracy, and confidence in mental calculations. The interactive session highlighted how regular practice of Vedic Mathematics enhances computational skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, making mathematics easier, faster, and more enjoyable for learners.
