SACAS Inaugurates Literary Association and Inspires English Students.

The Department of English, in association with IQAC and the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), inaugurated its Literary Association, “The Renaissance,” on 17 July 2026 at the Preview Theatre, S.A. College of Arts & Science. The programme also featured the release of the department’s book, Ink & Infinity, and an orientation session titled “Words that Work: The Career Power of an English Degree.”

The event was graced by Dr. Ramana Devika, Assistant Professor of English, Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai, as the chief guest. She delivered an inspiring session highlighting the diverse career opportunities available to English graduates and encouraged students to develop strong communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

The programme included the formal inauguration of the Literary Association, the book release, and special addresses by the Principal, Directors, and IQAC Coordinator. The event motivated students to pursue literary excellence while preparing for rewarding careers through the study of English.
