Pi Approximation Day Celebrated with Digital Poster Competition at SACAS.

The Department of Mathematics, in association with the Mathelets Club, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an Inter-Department Digital Poster Presentation Competition on the occasion of Pi Approximation Day on 31 July 2026. Around 30 students enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their creativity and mathematical knowledge.

Dr. K. Jamberi, Head of the Department of BCA, served as the judge for the competition. Participants confidently presented their digital posters, explained their innovative concepts, and demonstrated their Canva design skills. The presentations highlighted the significance of the mathematical constant Pi and explored the growing role of Mathematics in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The competition provided students with an excellent platform to combine creativity, technology, and mathematical concepts while enhancing their presentation and communication skills. The event concluded successfully with the support of Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent; Dr. K.S. Prabakar, Director (Administration & CDC); and Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
