The Department of Physical Education, S.A. College of Arts & Science, proudly announced the outstanding achievement of its Men’s Chess Team, which secured Third Place in the University of Madras B-Zone Men’s Chess Tournament 2026–2027.
The prestigious tournament witnessed the participation of 32 teams from various affiliated colleges, making the competition highly challenging. Demonstrating excellent strategic thinking, teamwork, and determination, the S.A. College team delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament to secure the third position.
The achievement reflects the students’ dedication, consistent practice, and competitive spirit, as well as the continuous support and encouragement provided by the Department of Physical Education and the college management.
The Management, Principal, faculty members, and students congratulated the team on this remarkable success and appreciated their efforts in bringing laurels to the institution.
