SACAS Hosts Book Release on Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature

The Department of Tamil, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, organized the release of the book “Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature” on 27 July 2026 at the college auditorium.

The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the welcome address by Dr. S. Stalin Sathya, Head of the Department of Tamil. Mrs. Anugraha Adhibhagavan, Director of Mugai Mazhalai School and Academy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the special address. The Correspondent of the College released the book and presented the first copy to the Chief Guest. The Correspondent also presided over the function, while the Directors of the Institution conveyed their felicitations.

In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted the richness of Tamil civilization and culture and emphasized the importance of cultivating the habit of reading in the present generation.

Dr. P. Vignesh Kumar, editor of the volume titled “Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature,” presented an overview of the collection of essays. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, making the event a meaningful celebration of Tamil literary heritage and cultural values.
