The Department of Visual Communication, S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a one-day workshop on “Elements of Screenplay Writing” on 8 October 2026 at the SACAS Theatre. The programme aimed to provide students with practical exposure to screenplay writing, narrative structuring and visual storytelling.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Correspondent Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Principal Dr. S. Anbalagan, and Placement Director & CDC Admin Dr. K. S. Prabakar. Dr. Sheik Mohamed S. H., Head, Department of Visual Communication, delivered the welcome address.

Mr. Gokul R., Assistant Professor, D.R.B.C.C.C. Hindu College, and Dr. Premnivas G. C., Assistant Professor, SACAS, served as resource persons and shared insights into scriptwriting, character development, narrative techniques and screenplay formatting. Students from various colleges actively participated in the interactive sessions.
