Department of Computer Science, S.A. College of Arts and Science organized an expert talk on 28.07.2025

Department of Computer Science, S.A. College of Arts and Science, in association with The Nexus Technovate Club, organized an expert talk on the topic “Gateway to the IT Industry” on 28th July 2025 at 12:00 p.m. The session was held in the Computer Science Laboratory and was presided over by Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications. The event witnessed active participation from 85 students and department faculty members.

The resource person for the session, Mr. Nixon Abraham, Microsoft SQL Server DBA and Azure Cloud Specialist at Atos, delivered an insightful lecture on the various entry points into the IT field. He highlighted the significance of technical skills, certifications, and current industry demands, especially in cloud computing and database technologies. Mr. Nixon emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in this rapidly evolving industry.
