SACAS Hackathon Awareness Session Inspires Students to Innovate.

The PG Department of Computer Science, in association with IQAC and the Nexus Technovate Club, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an awareness session on “From Ideas to Innovation: Hackathon Kickoff” on 31 July 2026 in the college auditorium. The programme aimed to encourage students to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and national-level hackathon opportunities.

The session featured Mr. Marutha Durai P., Coordinator (Innovation), Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, and Mr. Selvakumar A., Founder, Yuga Enterprises, as resource persons. They highlighted the importance of innovation, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in achieving success through hackathons and entrepreneurship.

A major highlight of the programme was the motivational address by Mr. Selva Vignesh, a two-time Smart India Hackathon Grand Finale Winner (2024 & 2025). He shared his inspiring journey, explained the stages of hackathons, and offered practical tips on project development, teamwork, and presentation skills.

The interactive session motivated students to participate confidently in hackathons and transform innovative ideas into impactful solutions, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing future innovators and entrepreneurs.
