The Research and Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a one-day “AI for Education & Research” Bootcamp on 12 September 2026 at the Computer Labs, SACAS.

The bootcamp commenced at 9:30 a.m. and witnessed the participation of nearly 110 faculty members from various colleges through offline and virtual modes, along with SACAS faculty members. The sessions focused on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in education, research, teaching, learning, and academic productivity.

The sessions were handled by Dr. S. Senthilnathan, Director, UGC-MMTTC, Bharathidasan University; Dr. A. Vimal Jerald, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli; and Mr. K. Kasiviswanathan, who shared valuable insights and practical expertise on AI tools and research practices.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent; Dr. K. S. Prabakar, Director – Administration & CDC; and Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, with Dr. K. Jamberi serving as Coordinator. The bootcamp concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and positive engagement from the attendees.
