S.A. College of Arts & Science organized its First-Year Induction Program for the academic year 2026–27 on 18 June 2026 at the college auditorium. The program marked the beginning of an exciting new journey for the incoming students and aimed to familiarize them with the institution’s values, opportunities, and learning environment.

The event began with the traditional invocation and lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku, followed by the welcome address by Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal of the college. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, who highlighted the institution’s seven successful years of academic excellence. He encouraged students to make the best use of the facilities and opportunities provided by the college and to strive for personal and professional growth. Dr. S. Aravind, Director or SACAS felicitated the Chief Guest.

An audio-visual presentation introducing the Chief Guest, Dr. R. Selvakumaran, Academic Director of Vanetra Muthayammal Institutions, was screened, showcasing his achievements and contributions to the field of education.

In his keynote address, Dr. R. Selvakumaran inspired students to focus on smart work, effective decision-making, and goal setting. He explained the difference between knowledge and intelligence, emphasizing the importance of applying knowledge wisely. Encouraging students to think creatively and beyond conventional boundaries, he reminded them that college life is much more than earning a degree. It is a platform to acquire skills, gain knowledge, learn valuable life lessons, and broaden one’s horizons.

The program concluded leaving the students motivated and ready to embark on their academic journey.
