Empowered Choices: Anti-Drug Awareness Program at SACAS

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, conducted an Anti-Drug Awareness Program titled “Empowered Choices: Rising Above the Influence” on July 28, 2025, to observe National Toll-Free Day. The session focused on the theme “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.”

Mr. Jubin Sam, Sub-Inspector from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Chennai Zone, was the guest speaker. He spoke about the harmful effects of natural and synthetic drugs, the causes of drug abuse, and its impact on society. He also explained the legal, social, and health issues linked to drug use, including HIV, accidents, and mental health problems.

Using real-life examples, Mr. Jubin made the session relatable and thought-provoking. The program successfully raised awareness among students and encouraged them to make positive life choices.

The event came to an end with a pledge: “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs,” inspiring everyone to live a healthy and drug-free life.
