Strengthening Quality Through Knowledge Sharing at SACAS.

The Faculty Enrichment Committee, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized a Knowledge Sharing Session on “NAAC Framework and Quality Assurance” on 10 July 2026 at the Learning Centre, SASOM. The programme was conducted for the NAAC Champions and Heads of Departments to enhance their understanding of quality assurance and NAAC accreditation.

The session was led by Dr. S. Senthilnathan, Programme Director, UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre and Professor, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Through an engaging and interactive presentation, he explained how institutions can effectively collect, organize, and present data for different NAAC criteria. His practical suggestions provided participants with a clear understanding of documentation and quality enhancement practices.

The resource person highlighted the importance of educational frameworks such as NSQF, NHEQF, and LOCF, and explained their role in improving higher education. He also discussed the practical challenges faced by colleges in implementing faculty internships, Faculty Development Programmes, student internships, and project work, while suggesting realistic solutions and new initiatives.

Dr. Senthilnathan appreciated the systematic organization of the college’s NAAC documentation and commended the dedication of the Coordinator – IQAC, NAAC Champions and Heads for their active involvement in quality initiatives.

The session proved to be highly informative and inspiring, equipping participants with practical knowledge and renewed confidence to strengthen institutional quality and achieve excellence in NAAC accreditation.
