The Department of Commerce (Bank Management), in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), S.A. College of Arts & Science, is organizing a Human Chain Formation for HIV/AIDS Awareness on 19 August 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the SAEC Gate.
The programme aims to create awareness among students and the community about HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, treatment, and the importance of early awareness and responsible health practices. The initiative seeks to promote accurate knowledge, dispel myths and misconceptions, and encourage a compassionate and stigma-free attitude towards people living with HIV.
The Human Chain Formation will bring together students and faculty members in a collective expression of solidarity and social responsibility. Through this awareness initiative, participants will convey the message that knowledge, prevention, empathy, and support are essential in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The programme is expected to encourage students to become responsible ambassadors of health awareness and to spread scientifically accurate information among their peers, families, and the wider community.
