The Department of Commerce (Bank Management) invited all Bank Management students to a guest lecture titled “Professional Development & Membership.” The event took place in the SACAS Auditorium on August 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. The Chief Guest CA Jayamani J, a Chartered Accountant with expertise in Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing, led the lecture. As a dedicated professional and educator, CA Jayamani J aimed to help students and professionals improve their skills in these areas. In this session around 186 students and 4 faculty participated. S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Institution Innovations Council (IIC) and the Department of Commerce (Bank Management), organized an informative Orientation Program on “Stock Market & Advanced Options Trading” on August 8, 2024. The event took place at the SACAS Auditorium from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The students from the third year of B. Com (General, Bank Management, Computer Applications, Accounting & Finance, and Corporate Secretaryship) attended the session. In this session overall 300 students were participated.

Department of Commerce (Bank Management) - A Report on One Day Industrial Visit On July 15.07.2024
A Report on One Day Industrial Visit On July 15, 2024, the Department of Commerce (Bank Management) at S.A. College of Arts & Science organized an enlightening industrial visit to Modern Bakers Private Limited at Madhavaram. Modern Bakers Pvt Ltd produces biscuits for the Parle-G company. During this visit, students learnt about the raw material, quality analysis, recipe preparation, molding and baking conditions for Parle-G biscuit. Also, they learned about 5S method implementations, Cost cutting Price Method, Automated packaging systems, and hygienic practices adopted in this factory. Finally, students interacted with industry experts. The industrial expert explained the types of biscuits prepared in their unit and how they analyze for quality and sensory attributes by internal and external experts. They also shared the placement possibilities at their unit. The students were accompanied by Dr.M.Prabhakar Assistant Professor & Dr.M.Neelabai Assistant professor from Department of Commerce ( Bank Management) along with Mr.A.Rajpaul HR, Parle-G, Industrial Expert. Finally, students were enriched with knowledge about Parle-G biscuit manufacturing process. This industrial visit paved the way for future industrial visits, memorandums of understanding for technical problem solving and students’ placement.

College of Arts & Science in association with IIC organize an "IIC CALENDER ACTIVITY " Session on “SUCCESS STORY OF AN ENTREPRENEUR.” This session was held on 6th March 2024 at TF12, SACAS between 12.00 PM TO 1.30 PM.The speaker of the program, Dr.T. VAIDEGI, Associate professor and Department of Commerce from Patrician college of Arts and Science. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience. She worked in the Ministry of Education. She taught many Business ideas, methods, techniques, and concepts in Entrepreneurship. The program was attended by the faculties as well as students. Totally sixty-six students participated and understand the ideas of “SUCCESS STORY OF AN ENTREPRENEUR.”

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research Chennai (NITTTR) International Field Visit to Pallavaram Sandhai & One Day International Seminar on Rural Entrepreneurship
- A. College of Arts & Science conducted an “International Field Visit to Pallavaram Sandhai” in the forenoon session and a One Day International Seminar on “Rural Entrepreneurship” in the afternoon session on 2nd February 2024 at SACAS between 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and hosted by NITTTR.
The international participants (10 members from different countries), faculty members of NITTTR, and 30 P.G. students from S.A. College of Arts & Science attended.
The following resource persons provided their valuable insights for this international seminar and international field visit observation

Students were actively participated and making it a successful event.

The speaker of the program was Mr. KANDEEPAN RAVICHANDER Assistant Vice President in Axis Bank. He is having more than 14 years of experience in sales & Marketing roles. He was demonstrated excellence in Communications and Portfolio Management.
This Programme was very useful for the students throughout the session. This session gives a knowledge and how Digital Payments its importance in various field.
He taught many Business ideas, methods, techniques and concepts in the sales and Marketing roles also.
The program was attended by the students as well as Staffs. Totally 125 students participated and understand the concept of DIGITAL PAYMENT PROGRAM.

This Event was planned and conducted by 2nd & 3rd year students with guidance of
Dr. P. Pandian, Head of the Department and Other faculty members.
Students conducted the Fresher’s Day program in a very good manner.
Games, Dance (Solo & Group), Group Singing and song with an Instrument was conducted to show their own talents and skills.
This will promote the well-being among students.

KARGIL DAY Organized by Commerce BM on 26.07.2023
KARGIL DAY
- The Department of Bank Management is celebrated Kargil Day on 26th July 2023 at S.A. College of Arts & Science from 8 am to 9 am., and students created awareness about the Kargil Vijay Diwas by forming a human chain from SV School gate to SAEC gate.
- More than 60 students and 5 Professor are participated in the Programme. Students have holded most respective codes with their placards with creative slogans insisting on the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
- The reminiscence of the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Indo-Pakistani War, set all over the world is known for its courage and valor.
- The students gave respect to the Kargil warriors by holding proud slogans such as
- The theme of Kargil Day is “I won’t die in an accident or die of any disease”.
- “I will go down in glory”, “Kargil is not a story of just winning, it’s a story of pain with pride, wishing Kargil Vijay Diwas”.
