IIC CALENDER ACTIVITY Session on SUCCESS STORY OF AN ENTREPRENEUR on 6th March 2024

S. A. College of Arts & Science in association with IIC organize an "IIC CALENDER ACTIVITY " Session on “SUCCESS STORY OF AN ENTREPRENEUR.” This session was held on 6th March 2024 at TF12, SACAS between 12.00 PM TO 1.30 PM.The speaker of the program, Dr.T. VAIDEGI, Associate professor and Department of Commerce from Patrician college of Arts and Science. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience. She worked in the Ministry of Education. She taught many Business ideas, methods, techniques, and concepts in Entrepreneurship. The program was attended by the faculties as well as students. Totally sixty-six students participated and understand the ideas of “SUCCESS STORY OF AN ENTREPRENEUR.”


IIC Calendar Activity – Prototype Development

The S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), organized an “IIC Calendar Activity” session on “Prototype Development.”

The session was conducted by Ms. Thasin Fouzia, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Patrician College of Arts and Science. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she has published numerous research papers in reputed journals and conferences.

During the session, Ms. Fouzia shared valuable insights on business ideas, methods, techniques, and entrepreneurial concepts related to prototype development. The program was attended by both faculty members and students, with a total of 52 participants gaining a clear understanding of the fundamentals of Prototype Development.


IIC Calendar Activity – Business Model Canvas

The S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), organized an IIC Calendar Activity session on “Business Model Canvas.”

The resource person for the session was Dr. M. Meenakshi, Associate Professor, Department of Accounting and Finance, Patrician College of Arts and Science.

Dr. Meenakshi led an engaging session by explaining the nine building blocks and channels of the Business Model Canvas. She illustrated the concept using a live example of Zomato, a leading food delivery application operating in around 24 countries, helping users order food directly from restaurants through its app.

She elaborated on identifying target customers, linking Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with the company’s model, and understanding customer relationships. The discussion also covered aspects like data collection, website and app development, and customer support through various helplines.

Dr. Meenakshi concluded by highlighting how Zomato generates revenue through multiple streams such as food delivery, partnerships, advertisements, promotions, and customer feedback mechanisms.


SACAS ED-MART 2K24

Amidst the vibrant hues of innovation and the bustling energy of entrepreneurial spirit, SACAS ED-MART 2K24 unfolded its grandeur on the illustrious morning of February 17, 2024. The Entrepreneur Development Cell, in harmonious collaboration with the esteemed Institute of Innovation Council, orchestrated a spectacle of entrepreneurship at the esteemed premises of S.A. College of Arts & Science. The clock struck 9:00 AM, heralding the commencement of an event poised to redefine the landscape of student entrepreneurship.

Embraced within the sanctum of creativity were 100 meticulously crafted stalls, each a testament to the diverse tapestry of entrepreneurial endeavors. From tantalizing culinary delights to immersive gaming experiences, from avant-garde garments to artisanal crafts, and from innovative insurance policies to groundbreaking business ventures, the stalls beckoned both the curious and the impassioned alike.

The inaugural ceremony unfolded with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, the revered correspondent of S.A. College of Arts & Science. His gesture symbolized not merely the opening of an event but the unlocking of boundless opportunities for the enterprising minds gathered. Amidst the buzzing throng, luminaries of the industry, including the illustrious Ms. Teju Ashwini and the charismatic VJ Surendar, lent their aura to the affair, traversing through the labyrinth of stalls, conversing with budding entrepreneurs, and immersing themselves in the mosaic of innovation.

As the sun ascended its zenith, so did the fervor of the attendees, swelling the grounds with a tidal wave of entrepreneurial zeal. With approximately 2000 individuals traversing the avenues of creativity and commerce, the event pulsated with the rhythm of possibility.

Yet, behind the spectacle lay the silent orchestrators, the indefatigable staff members of S.A. College of Arts & Science, whose tireless efforts and unwavering dedication ensured the seamless execution of SACAS ED-MART 2K24.

February 17, 2024, will be etched in the annals of academia as a day of convergence, where academia and entrepreneurship intertwined in a symphony of innovation. SACAS ED-MART 2K24 emerged not merely as an event but as a beacon illuminating the path towards a future brimming with creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial excellence.


Capital Market, Stock, Currency & Commodity Trading Certification Course

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Department of Bank Management, organized a training program on Capital Market, Stock, Currency & Commodity Trading Certification Course for students.

The “Gateway Program” aimed to provide valuable insights into stock, currency, and crypto trading and investments, with the theme “Enroll as a Beginner, Exit as a Trader.”

The sessions were conducted by CA Anand Pattabiraman, Director & Founder of Aquilae Technologies Pvt. Ltd. A total of 67 final-year students from various departments of SACAS participated in the 20-hour training program, coordinated by the staff committee of IP & EDC.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Department of Bank Management of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Institution Innovation Council, organized the “ED Orientation Program 2023–24.”

The session was conducted by Mr. Stephen Raj P, Managing Director of Omega Exotic Pet Farms & Omega Proteins, Chennai.

The program proved to be highly beneficial for the students, providing valuable insights on becoming successful entrepreneurs and understanding the fundamentals of starting a business.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Institution Innovation Council of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Department of Bank Management, organized the program titled “SACAS Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Campus.”

The session was led by Dr. D. Sreepriya, Associate Professor and Innovation Ambassador from Patrician College of Arts and Science. A total of 21 faculty members and Heads of Departments attended the program.


Fabric Painting Classes to Ed Students

The Department of Commerce (BM) and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SACAS jointly conducted a “Tanjore on Fabric Jewellery” Workshop. The session was guided by Ms. Jayashree Narayan, a Fevicryl Certified Specialist in Art and Craft. Around 22 students from S.A. College of Arts & Science actively participated in the workshop.


EDII-TN, University of Madras

Entrepreneurship development cell in S.A. College of Arts & Science, EDII-TN, and university of madras jointly organized E-LEADER workshop on 20/2/23 & 21/2/23. Mr.Dhilpan Kumar, Master Trainer from EDII-TN is the resource person. It is the funded program. 40 students from various colleges participated.

 


2 Days Orientation Training Program on Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship development cell in S.A. College of Arts & Science, Entrepreneur training program orientation to teach students basic life skills, business, innovative thinking & teamwork. The program also caters to enhance skills that adhere to contemporary situations which aimed at making the student community more enthusiastic towards entrepreneurial activity such as fabric painting, Aari work, Thread work accessories and Herbal
entrepreneurship. It was conducted on 18/2/23 & 20/2/23.
