The Department of Psychology successfully organized the Investiture Ceremony of the Wabi-Sabi Forum along with a Workshop on “NeuroBricks for Personal Excellence” at the SACAS Auditorium on [insert date] from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM.
The program commenced with the Investiture Ceremony, where the newly elected forum members were officially inducted. This occasion symbolized responsibility, leadership, and dedication as the members pledged to uphold the values and vision of the forum. The highlight of the day was the Workshop on “NeuroBricks for Personal Excellence,” delivered by Dr. S. Senthil sir , an expert trainer with over two decades of experience in coaching, counselling, and motivational training. He specializes in NeuroBricks, Hypnosis, NLP, managing emotions, work-life balance, and resilience techniques. The session introduced the concept of Brain Gym, where associating both hemispheres simultaneously helps in strengthening memory, focus, and coordination. It was emphasized that potential does not always equal performance because of interference—internal interference (which can be controlled) and external interference (which cannot be controlled). Some of the key learnings included: Strengthening the right hemisphere by changing unconscious habits into conscious habits. Understanding NLP filters such as deletion, distraction, and generalization. Practicing to respond consciously rather than react unconsciously.
Recognizing that “right is also right, and nothing is left at left,” highlighting balanced brain use.
The workshop left participants with practical tools for personal growth, conscious habit formation, and improved well-being.

Mastering Story Writing: SACAS Hosts Engaging Workshop for Budding Filmmakers.
The Department of Visual Communication, in collaboration with Media Warriors Hub, organized a highly interactive workshop titled “Mastering Story Writing” on 29th August 2025 at S.A. College of Arts & Science. The initiative, guided by Mr. Ziegen, Assistant Professor of Visual Communication, aimed to nurture creative storytelling skills among students. Participants included first-year Visual Communication students, along with interested learners from the second and third years.
The session, held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., was facilitated by S. Pranav Neerad, an aspiring filmmaker and assistant director who has worked with acclaimed filmmaker Vetri Maaran. With his industry experience, Pranav offered students a unique blend of technical knowledge and creative insight into the world of storytelling and scriptwriting.
Key highlights of the workshop included practical tips on scriptwriting such as character development, plot structuring, and narrative building. Pranav also shed light on digital storytelling, emphasizing the importance of adapting stories for modern digital platforms and meeting the expectations of contemporary audiences. His real-life experiences from film sets gave students an insider’s perspective into the collaborative process of filmmaking and the challenges faced in script development.
The session was highly engaging, with students actively participating in discussions, posing thoughtful questions, and even exploring new script ideas under the speaker’s guidance.
Concluding on an inspiring note, the workshop provided valuable knowledge to aspiring storytellers, leaving students motivated to experiment with scripts and sharpen their creative abilities in filmmaking and digital media.

The session was led by Mr. Kaja Rahamathullah K, Business Analyst at Imarticus Learning, who stressed the importance of financial literacy in today’s fast-changing world. He guided students on the fundamentals of budgeting, saving, investment, and long-term wealth creation.
Mr. Rahamathullah emphasized that financial planning goes beyond expense management—it is about making informed choices that ensure financial stability and growth. Sharing practical strategies and real-life examples, he made complex financial concepts simple and relatable for the students.

He highlighted the importance of password security, safe browsing practices, and the risks of phishing and cyber threats. The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, hosted CASETHON – The CEO’s Chair: Case Studies as Decision Labs on August 29, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the SACAS Theatre. The session featured Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Management, SRM Ramapuram, as the chief guest.
In his address, Dr. Praveen Kumar shared insights from India’s top 15 highest-paid CEOs of 2025, emphasizing that true business success lies in delivering customer satisfaction rather than just selling products. He illustrated this with examples—Coca-Cola selling “happiness,” Maggi offering taste and convenience for decades, and ICICI Prudential providing future security.
He further highlighted the need to identify customer pain points and define target audiences effectively, citing brands like Taj Hotels and Close Up. The interactive session sharpened students’ listening and communication skills while reinforcing the importance of customer-centric strategies in business leadership.

The event, held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, featured distinguished guests Mr. Pandi Alagu Raja M, Head – People & Culture at Deluxe and Mentor at WOW HR, and Dr. Saravanan Thinayarasamy.
In his address on “Introduction to WOW HR,” Mr. Pandi emphasized the growing influence of LinkedIn in HR for hiring, learning, and professional growth. He also highlighted WOW HR’s commitment to innovation and technology through active chapters like Chennai. Dr. Saravanan urged students to focus on the “why, what, and how” of HR, stressing core values like Respect, Integrity, Trust, and Empathy (RITE). He emphasized the importance of empathetic leadership.

College of Arts & Science, successfully hosted Vinayak Fest 2k25, an Inter-Department Competition titled “Remover of Obstacles – Seek Blessings & Share the Joy” on 26th August 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the SACAS Canteen. Celebrating the spiritual essence of Lord Ganesha’s birth, the event aimed to blend festivity with creativity, devotion, and cultural expression.
Students from various departments participated enthusiastically in vibrant competitions such as rangoli design, idol decoration, devotional singing, and creative art displays—all themed around Vinayaka Chaturthi. The lively atmosphere, filled with colors, devotion, and artistic flair, truly captured the festive spirit.
