The Actor Jegan Fans Meet was organized by Take one Tamil Channel in collaboration with S.A. College of Arts & Science on 30th October 2025 at the SACAS Preview Theater. The event began at 10.00 a.m. and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students.

Actor Jegan interacted warmly with the audience, sharing his inspiring journey, experiences, and insights into the film industry. Students were excited to meet their favorite actor and actively took part in the lively interactive session. His motivational words and humble personality created a joyful and memorable atmosphere, leaving the young audience inspired and energized.

A Breast Cancer Awareness walk titled *“One Walk, One Hope”* was organized by the District Rotaract Council on 26th October 2025 at Island Ground from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. Rotaract and RRC students from S.A. College of Arts & Science enthusiastically participated in the walk, holding placards and raising slogans to promote women’s health. The initiative encouraged participants and the public to support regular health check-ups and extend hope to those fighting cancer, emphasizing that awareness can save lives. 


Department of Psychology Dance for Memory A Classical tribute to dementia awareness & Elder’s day celebration on 25.10.2025

The Dignity foundation, Chennai Chapter in association with The department of Psychology, organised the event on “Dance for Memory” A Classical tribute to dementia awareness & Elder’s day celebration on 25/10/2025 at 9.00 am in auditorium of S.A.College of arts and science.The event was started with the dignity anthem followed by thamizh thaai vazhthu, and lighting of kuthu vilakku, and welcome address was given by special guests madam principal Dr. Malathi Selavakkumar. and Chief Guest Dr. A.V. Anoop, Chairman & Managing director, AVA Group of companies who addressed the gathering and followed by Dr.Lakshmi who spoke about the raise awareness about Dementia, promote intergenerational bonding, and Dance performances that touch the heart Awareness session on dementia and its impact interactive activities to engage and inspire. A chance to connect with our seniors and show them love and respect. This special event honours the wisdom, resilience, and joy of our senior community — reminding us that every movement, every smile, and every memory matter.

Dance is more than an art — it’s an expression of connection, emotion, and remembrance. Through rhythm and movement, we celebrate the stories of our elders and shine a light on the importance of understanding and supporting those living with dementia. “Dance for Memory" is a unique event that combines dance, music, to raise awareness about Dementia and celebrate the wisdom and experiences of our elders. Dementia is not a normal part of aging; it's a disease that affects memory, thinking, and behaviour. Early detection and diagnosis can improve treatment outcomes and quality of life. Physical activity, social engagement, and mental stimulation can help prevent or slow down cognitive decline.

SACAS Promotes Digital Safety through Cyber Security Awareness Program.

The PG Department of Commerce of S.A. College of Arts & Science organized an Awareness Program on Cyber Security on 24th October 2025 at the college auditorium. The session was led by Mrs. P. Muthumari, Sub-Inspector of Police, IUCAW Wing, who educated students on cybercrimes, preventive measures, and the legal aspects of online safety.

The event was convened by Dr. P. Karthika, Head of the Department, and featured Ms. N. Zaina Mariyam as the Master of Ceremony. Students actively interacted during the session, learning how to protect themselves in the digital world. Around 250 students and faculty members attended the informative program.

The session empowered participants with knowledge on responsible digital practices and cyber ethics. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Dharani R, appreciating the expert speaker and the organizing team for the successful and enlightening program.

SACAS Shines at Rotary Olympiad Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament 2025-2026.

The students of S.A. College of Arts & Science achieved remarkable success at the Rotary Olympiad Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament 2025-2026, held at YMCA College of Physical Education, Nandanam, Chennai.

In the Boys’ Singles category, A. Deepak of II B.Sc. Visual Communication emerged as the Winner, defeating the finalist from RKM Vivekananda College in an intense match.

In the Boys’ Doubles category, M. Bharath of III B.Com General and M. N. Yaakesh of III B.Com A&F clinched the Winner Trophy after a competitive final. The Runner-up position was secured by A. Deepak (II B.Sc. Viscom) and G. Sri Shakthi Krishna (I MBA), making it an all-SACAS final.

The outstanding performance of the players reflected their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship, bringing great pride to S.A. College of Arts & Science.

S.A. College of Arts and Science Hosts HR Conclave 3.0 in Association with WOW HR Chennai, October 11: The Career Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts and Science, in association with WOW HR, successfully organized HR Conclave 3.0 on September 20 and October 11, 2025. The two-day conclave served as a vibrant platform for Industry–Academia interaction, bringing together several eminent HR professionals and corporate experts from reputed organizations.

Each day featured three engaging sessions, focusing on key aspects such as career preparedness, communication skills, professional growth, and leadership development. The sessions provided students with valuable insights into recruitment strategies, workplace expectations, and emerging HR trends.

Through interactive discussions and expert-led dialogues, students gained practical exposure to the corporate world and learned the importance of skill enhancement, adaptability, and confidence in shaping successful careers. The conclave inspired participants to align their academic learning with industry needs and pursue excellence in their chosen fields.

The event concluded on a highly positive note, with both students and experts appreciating the well-structured sessions and dynamic learning atmosphere. Gandhi Jayanti Gram Sabha was held on 11.10.2025

Spreading Gandhian Values at Gandhi Jayanti Gram Sabha by SACAS.

The Gandhi Jayanti Gram Sabha was held on 11th October 2025 at Kannampalayam Community Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event brought together 20 enthusiastic students from the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and NSS units of S.A. College of Arts & Science. The session aimed to promote Gandhian ideals of truth, non-violence, and rural development. Students interacted with the villagers, discussing important community issues and exploring ways to improve rural life. The programme encouraged everyone to adopt Gandhiji’s values in daily living and to contribute towards building a clean, peaceful, and self-reliant society. The event served as a reminder that Gandhiji’s principles remain relevant even today, inspiring youth to take small but meaningful steps toward social harmony and national progress.


SACAS and AIMST University Host 4th International Conference on Global Conflict Resolution for SDGs

S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, India in association with AIMST University, Bedong Kedah, Malaysia organized 4th International Conference on the contemporary Topic “Deliberations on conflict Resolution Strategies for SDGs” on 3rd October 2025.

The conference commenced with the opening remarks delivered by SNR Assoc. Prof. Dr. G. Prabakaran, Deputy Chancellor, Research and Industry Linkage, AIMST University. The session was Followed by Welcome Address by Prof. Dr. V. Kathiresan, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, AIMST University, Malaysia. Prof. Dr. Kiran Reddy, Conference Chair, COO & Academic Advisor, AIMIST University highlighted the significance of the Conference Topic and its relevance to Global Sustainable Goals while delivering opening and welcome remarks.   

Mr. S. Naresh, Assistant Professor, S.A. College of Arts & Science presented the Conference Concept Note spotlighting the objectives and scope of the deliberations and the session proceeded with the releasing of the Compendium of the abstracts and the Formal Exchange of Collaboration Certificates between the partner institutions graced by Director Madam, Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi and Principal Madam,      Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar along with which symbolized continued academic partnership and research collaboration. 

Research papers were presented by scholars and professors from various parts of the world viz., U.S., Ireland, P.R. China, Germany, India followed by question-and-answer session which was interactive. 

The conference concluded with the closing remarks and vote of thanks to express gratitude to the delegates, presenters and organizing committee for their contributions to make this event a grand success was delivered by SNR Assoc. Prof. Dr. G. Prabakaran, Deputy Chancellor, Research and Industry Linkage, AIMST University.

Gateway to Government Careers: Guest Lecture Inspires Graduates at SACAS.

The Department of Computer Applications, S.A.College of Arts & Science in collaboration with the Skill Elevation Club, organized a Guest Lecture on “Government of India Job Opportunities for Fresh Graduates” on 29th September 2025 at the SACAS Auditorium. The session, held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., featured Mr. Ravi Shankar T., Planning Engineer, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, as the resource person.

Mr. Ravi Shankar delivered an insightful talk on the vast career avenues available in government sectors. He stressed the importance of skill development, perseverance, and preparation for competitive examinations. The event was attended by Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications, faculty members, and over 286 enthusiastic students.

The session empowered students with clarity on eligibility, strategies, and opportunities, motivating them to confidently pursue impactful careers in the public sector.

SACAS Hosts International Faculty and Student Development Programs.

The Department of  Accounting & Finance, S.A College of Arts & Science,  in collaboration with the SACAS Association of Accounting & Finance Professionals, successfully organized two impactful international programs on 29th September 2025.

The International Faculty Development Program (IFDP), held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the SACAS Auditorium, centered on the theme “Proposal Writing Skills to Get Competitive Research Grants.” With 100 participants attending in hybrid mode, the session empowered faculty with practical techniques to craft clear, persuasive research proposals aligned with global priorities, enhancing their chances of securing funding.

Earlier in the day, the International Student Development Program (ISDP) took place at the Preview Theatre between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Themed “Commercializing Innovation: How Science Drives Markets,” the program highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and global perspectives. Students gained valuable insights into bridging science with business and adopting a future-ready mindset.

Both sessions fostered learning, collaboration, and inspiration for academic and professional growth.
