The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science organized an expert lecture on “People and Customers: Leveraging analytics to drive business performance” on September 26, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at LC 3. The session was delivered by Ms.Simona Kumari, Project manager at ford & cofounder of salon and cafe-chennai.
A guest lecture was delivered by Ms. Simona Kumari, Co-founder of Panache Unisex Salon and Yazhi Suhr Restaurant, on the topic “People and Customers Leveraging Analytics to Drive Business Performance.” She shared her entrepreneurial journey, stressing the importance of treating both employees and customers with equal value and using analytics to understand their needs. Citing examples from Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Myntra, and Flipkart, she explained how data-driven insights enhance business growth. Highlighting her innovative ₹1 haircut formula as a branding strategy, she also emphasized the role of SWOT analysis in evaluating startup performance. The session provided students with practical insights on combining analytics and creativity to achieve sustainable business success.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an expert lecture on “Using Digital HR Tools for Sustainability Data and Impact Tracking” on September 25, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at LC 3. The session was led by Ms. Dolly Sweetlin Jennifer, CFRO at SMLA, Chennai, and Project Scientist at IIT.
Ms. Jennifer emphasized the role of digital transformation in HR for advancing sustainability initiatives. She explained how digital tools can streamline sustainability data management, enable impact tracking, and support data-driven HR strategies that align with organizational goals. Key highlights included integration of digital platforms for sustainability metrics, impact measurement techniques, and real-world applications.
The lecture was interactive and engaging, offering students valuable insights into the intersection of HR technology, sustainability, and organizational development. By simplifying complex concepts with practical examples, Ms. Jennifer made the session both informative and inspiring.

The Red Ribbon Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized a guest lecture on suicide prevention titled “Inner Strength” on September 25, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Preview Theatre.
The session featured two impactful speakers—Dr. Praveen, Oncologist and Mr. S. Tamil Mani, a student of Department of Commerce. Both shared empathetic insights on mental well-being, recognizing warning signs, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Their words resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging open dialogue and spreading awareness about emotional resilience.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from 100 students and the valuable support of four faculty members. Together, they created a safe space for meaningful conversations, emphasizing the importance of seeking help and supporting one another.
The lecture left attendees inspired to nurture a more compassionate and inclusive campus. Truly, the message was clear: “Let’s stand together for mental health and make a difference.”
SACAS Golu Celebration on 25.09.2025
DAY - 4
The fourth day of the Golu Celebration was jointly organized by the Department of Psychology and B.Com CS on campus. The event reflected the integration of tradition, devotion, and cultural wisdom, highlighting the significance of the Indian Knowledge System in fostering holistic learning and values. A soulful devotional song performance was presented by Mathisri, Sharmila, Kalaivani, Kousalya, and Haripriya from the Department of Psychology. Their melodious rendition created a serene spiritual ambience, invoking cultural pride and reverence for heritage. The celebration was aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),particularly:
- SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Promoting mental and emotional wellness through cultural and spiritual practices.
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): Encouraging students to engage in holistic learning rooted in tradition.
- SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): Preserving and promoting cultural practices for intergenerational harmony.
The event successfully demonstrated how festivals like Golu blend devotion, creativity, and learning, reaffirming the role of Indian cultural traditions in nurturing sustainable values and community well-being.

United in Gratitude: SACAS Students Form Human Chain for World Gratitude Day.
S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Department of Bank Management, celebrated World Gratitude Day on September 25, 2025, with a vibrant human chain formation at the SAEC Main Gate. The event highlighted values of gratitude, unity, and social harmony, creating a meaningful atmosphere across the campus.
Over 180 students enthusiastically participated, expressing their appreciation through heartfelt performances and surprise tributes to their faculty. A captivating magic show by Mr. E. Venkatesh Ranganathan, II year Bank Management, kept the audience enthralled. Adding a personal touch, students and staff exchanged “kutti sticky notes” filled with messages of thanks, sorry, and love, while “Gratitude Bytes” created touching moments of connection.
Special appreciation was extended to the management, faculty, and volunteers for their constant support. Notably, Mr. C. ShakthiPriyan of II year Bank Management received praise for his active involvement, ensuring the event’s success.

DAY - 3
The Department of HS-NFSMD and Visual Communication (Viscom) organized Day 3 of the SACAS Golu Celebration on 24th September 2025 at the SACAS Auditorium. The event harmoniously blended tradition, devotion, and wisdom, while linking to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). The program began with pooja arrangement and devotional songs was by students Pavithra and Harini (HS-NFSMD) and Amrita (Viscom), fostering unity and emotional well-being, reflecting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). A key highlight was the Himalayas miniature set, creatively designed by HS-NFSMD students, symbolizing the ecological and spiritual significance of the Himalayas. This display emphasized SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). The celebration illustrated how the Indian Knowledge System promotes sustainable living by uniting devotion, ecological reverence, and cultural creativity. Overall, the event successfully combined tradition with modern values, reinforcing sustainability and cultural pride.
SACAS GOLU CELEBRATION 2025
DAY - 2
The second day of the Golu celebrations at our college was marked with devotion, creativity, and cultural vibrancy. The Department of Computer Science, Computer Science Application and Computer Science with AI staff and students took the lead, with Pooja performed under the guidance of the Heads of the Departments Mr.Chandrasekar.P and Mr.Krishnan.R. The rituals invoked blessings for wisdom, harmony, and innovation. Students enriched the day with cultural performances. A graceful classical dance by Ms.Rakshitha and team ( III BCA ) rooted in Natya Shastra (IKS) highlighted tradition, while a devotional song sung by Ms.Lakshana ( II BCA) uplifted the spiritual mood. A student also delivered an inspiring slogan by Mr.Dharshan Raj ( III B.Sc CS), connecting values of unity, sustainability, and responsibility. Adding uniqueness, students showcased innovative Golu displays. They created a forest miniature representing India’s age-old ecological wisdom, where nature is revered as sacred, representing and emphasizing the balance between humans and the environment (IKS). spreading awareness on nature conservation, reflecting SDG 15: Life on Land. To represent their department, students designed and placed a computer model and a robot made of cardboard, symbolizing technology, creativity, and problem-solving, aligning with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure and signifies the IKS philosophy of integrating tradition with innovation.
The day beautifully blended Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), cultural expression, and modern innovation, promoting SDG goals through tradition and collective participation.

Day - 1
The first day of the Navaratri Golu celebrations in our college commenced with great devotion and inclusivity. The day began with a Pooja performed by the non-teaching staff , housekeeping women, Department of Hindi and Allied Chemistry staff symbolizing respect for every contributor to the institution. Their participation reflected the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) value of Samarasya (harmony) and
equality, aligning with SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). All the staffs actively took part by bringing idols and offering neivedhyam. Their contribution emphasized the principle of collective participation and the sharing of resources, which resonates with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). The idols showcased cultural and spiritual diversity, strengthening continuity of traditions through IKS. Students added devotional fervour by singing devotional songs dedicated to the deities. These performances not only created a devotional atmosphere but also fostered SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through collective mindfulness and positive energy. Thus, Day 1 of Golu celebrations beautifully merged tradition, inclusivity, and sustainability, marking a vibrant start to the festivities.

The event turned out to be a grand success, bringing together more than ten HR professionals from reputed organizations. The conclave was conducted in three insightful sessions, focusing on enhancing students’ knowledge, communication skills, and career preparedness. The interactive discussions provided students with valuable exposure to industry expectations and recruitment strategies. Participants gained practical guidance on skill development, professional growth, and workplace readiness. The program was well-received, leaving students motivated and better equipped for their future careers.

S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2025 on 19th September 2025 at the SACAS Theatre. The event aimed to inspire innovation and prepare students for the prestigious national-level competition.
A total of nine enthusiastic teams participated, presenting creative solutions to real-world problems with impressive technical expertise. All nine teams were shortlisted to move ahead, as their ideas met the required standards and showed excellent potential for further development.
The projects were evaluated by a distinguished jury, including Mr. Joseph A, Ms. Anbumathi, and Mr. A. Selvakumar, who provided valuable insights and encouraged students to refine their concepts.
The event was a great success, showcasing students’ innovation, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit, and marked an important step toward representing SACAS at the Smart India Hackathon 2025.
