PG Department of Commerce (General), S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a seminar on "ProEdge: Empowering Your Professional Career" was successfully conducted at Auditorium on 28/08/2024. The program was organized to provide participants with valuable insights into the significance of education at all levels and the benefits of pursuing additional courses to enhance their professional skills.400 Students participated in the programme.
PG Department Of Commerce (General) conducted Freshers' day Celebration "Freshers Party" on 28/8/24 between 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m at SACAS Auditorium for Commerce Students. Boys dances, Karoge, Girls group dance were the highlight of the event. Coordinators taught Importantance of Gestural communication by Solo dance movements. Followed by influence message from Faculty and Senior Students. Day celebrated with full of joy and take of all the inhibitions of first year students to show unity of Commerce Department..

The PG Department of Commerce (General), S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a seminar on "Digital Banking and Cybersecurity" for both undergraduate and postgraduate students on July 26, 2024. Mr. Ranjith Kumar, Manager and Digital Banking Ambassador for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, served as the resource person for this informative event.
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Dhanraj of II M.Com. Mr. Ranjith Kumar then delved into the following key aspects of digital banking and cybersecurity:
- Evolution of Digital Banking
- Advantages of Digital Banking
- Digital Banking Products
- Importance of Cybersecurity
- Types of Security Issues
The session was engaging and provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital banking and the critical importance of cybersecurity. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of cybersecurity measures and the various types of cybercrimes.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shakthi T. of III B. Com, expressing gratitude to Mr. Ranjith Kumar and all participants for their contributions to a successful and enlightening session.

Inner Wheel Club organized Kappalil Mazhalai oli (Diwali celebration ) for Government school children.
Dr. Easakkiammal, Department of Tamil, and Mrs. Karthika. P,PG Department of Commerce (General) Inner wheel club coral members represented the S.A. College of Arts & Science for this event.
The journey started at 7.20 a.m. from Sacas and reached 8.30 a.m. to Chennai Primary School,Adyar from there we accompanied 58 students and 10 staff members, along with the students we went to Chetpet eco-park at 10.30 a.m., students enjoyed attending games, magic show, the aquarium, free boating, and lot of students showcased their craft talents, etc.
IWC provides a special lunch and dessert for all participants and gifted school bags to all students carrying notebooks, colour pencils, geometric boxes, and other stationery items.
I would like to thank the Correspondent sir, our Director mam, and the Principal mam for giving us this opportunity and for providing 2 school buses to make an extraordinary journey.

International Mental Health Day- Human chain formation on 11th October 2023
PG Department of Commerce (General) in association Rotract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science jointly celebrates International Mental Health Day- Human chain formation on 11th October 2023 between 7.30 a.m.-9.00 a.m. , forming human chain of support and understanding to raise awareness about mental health issues. These chains symbolize unity in breaking the stigma and promoting open dialogue surrounding mental well-being. Together, we can create a world where mental health is prioritized and destigmatized.The program includes a rally starting from SV School and culminating at SACAS Arch, where participants will engage in activities like games,mime, yoga, and a flash mob to promote creativity, physical well-being, and community spirit.

The eminent speakers from INSTITUTE OF COST ACCOUNTANT OF INDIA exposed their knowledge on various topics like Chatgpt, cloud business solutions for MSME's, Business process transformation vs business model transformation etc. The session started with inauguration ceremony and ended up with valedictory ceremony.

VINAYAK FEST 2K23 on Sep 15th
The main theme of the competition is to create the Vinayagra Idol with biodegradable products(vegetables, Clay, turmeric, Flour, etc.).
inter-department students prepare an eco-friendly Vinayagar idol at Sacas canteen.
Overall 15 teams participated each team contained 3 members.
Students are excited to do idols with bioproducts and display them in Sacas venue.
All Vinayagar idols are made up of paper, wheat flour, turmeric, coconut shells, clay, vegetables, etc.
The competition started at 12.00pm and ended at 1.45 pm in the canteen.
Dr. S. Prathap Department of Mathematics judged the Vinayak Fest 2k23 competition, judgment based on the theme, arrangement, neatness, and creativity.
M.Com inauguration on 14.09.2023
The Department commerce (General) of SACAS of celebrated inauguration programme of it's PG course M.Com on 14th September 2023, Thursday. Dr. Malathi Selvakumar preside over the auspicious programme and felicitated the chief guest Mrs.Deepa Aravind, Vice-president,HSBC Bank, Chennai. Dr.P.Suresh, HoD, Department of Commerce (General) invited all dignitaries. Mrs.Deepa Aravind addressed the students. During her address as the chief guest of the inauguration programme, she briefed success story of her high profiled career path. She has listed number of do's and don'ts for succeeding all struggles in our life. Finally Ms. Dharani of 3rd B.Com student present vote of thanks.
