The Research and Development Cell, in association with IQAC, S.A. College of Arts & Science, successfully organized an Invited Talk on “Ideas to Indexed Publications – The Research Journey” on 8th August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the DS Lab.

The session was delivered by Dr. Ponmurugan Panneer Selvam M.E., Ph.D., Professor & Dean – Doctoral Studies & IPR, Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education & Research (Deemed to be University), Chennai.

The resource person provided valuable insights into the research publication process, beginning with developing research ideas and progressing towards quality and indexed publications. The session highlighted important aspects of selecting suitable journals, improving research quality, preparing manuscripts, and understanding the publication journey.

The talk was highly informative and beneficial for the faculty members and research scholars, motivating them to strengthen their research activities and work towards publishing their research in reputed indexed journals.

Research and Development Cell, in association with IQAC, Successfully Organized Invited Talk on AI-Powered Scholarly Writing Coordinated by the Research and Development Cell and IQAC, a talk on “Prompt, Polish, Publish: Mastering the AI Workflow for Faster Scholarly Writing” was organized on July 17th, 2026. This was held at the Data Science Lab in S.A. College of Arts & Science, and delivered by Dr. R. Ravi Kumar, an AI Scientist, Academician and Reseacher, and Group Head – Corporate Communications, Sai Green Mobility Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad.
The guest speaker provided an innovative approach to the writing of scholarly articles using AI. The talk was aimed at the limitations of traditional workflows for the writing of academic articles and the integration of AI at the various stages of the publication process. Participants were taught the advanced prompt techniques to draft, AI to edit and enhance the draft, prepare and publish the manuscript.
With the background of his vast experience in the academic, research and corporate sectors, Dr. Ravi Kumar offered practical solutions for AI and the use of research productivity to enhance the integrity and quality of research. This talk also helped to conceptualize the emerging paradigms of AI in research and the role of an institution in creating and nurturing a strong culture of research.
The program ended with an interactive session aimed at addressing the queries of the faculty and research scholars regarding prompt techniques, manuscript preparation, publication processes and AI tools. Each query was answered by Dr. Ravi Kumar using practical examples from his experience in research and editorial work.
The invited talk helped participants understand the Prompt, Polish, Publish framework and empowered them with AI strategies that help advance academic writing, given that the quality of research is not sacrificed. The program is anticipated to improve quality, efficiency, and impact of research publications coming from the institution.

SACAS Organizes Invited Talk on Publishing Research Articles in Quality Journals

The Research and Development Cell, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), of S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS), Chennai, organized an invited talk titled "Publishing Research Articles in Quality Journals: The Nuts and Bolts" on 11 July 2026 at the SACAS Theatre. The day-long programme, held from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., was conducted to strengthen the research and publication skills of faculty members and research scholars. The resource person, Dr. S. Senthilnathan, Programme Director, UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre and Professor, Department of Educational Technology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, delivered an insightful session on journal selection, indexing, manuscript preparation, publication ethics, peer review, and avoiding predatory journals. He also highlighted the ethical use of AI tools and web-based research resources for literature review, reference management, and improving research quality and impact. The interactive programme provided participants with practical strategies to enhance their scholarly publications.
