S.A. College of Arts & Science is set to organize a workshop on “The Art of Documentary Filmmaking” through its Department of Visual Communication, in association with IQAC, on 10 July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the SACAS Theatre.

The programme is being conducted under the visionary leadership of Thiru. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, the guidance of Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, with the support of Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi, Director, Dr. K.S. Prabakar, Director (Admin & CDC), and Prof. R.D. Balaji, Course Director.

The workshop will feature Mr. Madhan Kumar U.S., Documentary Filmmaker and Video Journalist, DW (Deutsche Welle), as the resource person. He will share practical insights into documentary filmmaking, visual storytelling, research, scripting, cinematography, interviewing techniques, and ethical journalism.

The programme is coordinated by the Department of Visual Communication under the leadership of Dr. Sheik Mohamed S.H., Head of the Department, with Mr. Prabakaran as the Convener.

The workshop aims to provide students with industry exposure and practical knowledge, enabling them to develop professional skills in documentary filmmaking and visual storytelling. Students are invited to participate and benefit from this interactive learning experience.
