The Aspiration Club of the School of Management, Department of Business Administration, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised “Fiesta ’26”, an inter-department event, on 5 October 2026 at the SACAS Auditorium. The event provided an engaging platform for students to showcase their creativity, communication skills, talent and strategic thinking through a diverse range of on-stage and off-stage competitions.
The competitions included Dance Arena, 60-Second CEO, Corporate Walk, Silent Signals (Mime), Split & Dance, BizMind, Biz Decode, Brand Reels, Mystery Connect, AdVenture, and Realm of Imagination. Nearly 80 students from various departments participated enthusiastically, demonstrating confidence, teamwork and competitive spirit. Following a series of exciting performances and challenges, B.Com Computer Applications (B.Com CA) emerged as the Overall Trophy Winner, delivering an outstanding performance across multiple events.
Fiesta ’26 concluded on a high note, celebrating student talent, collaboration, creativity and achievement beyond the classroom.

The Department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), S.A. College of Arts and Science, organised an Educational Visit to the Anna Centenary Library, Chennai, on 6 October 2026 for the First Year BBA students. A total of 72 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the importance and effective utilisation of library resources. Students explored various sections and facilities and gained awareness of textbooks, reference books, journals, newspapers, magazines, and other learning resources.
The visit helped students understand the role of a library as an important centre for knowledge, research, learning, and self-development. The experience also encouraged them to develop regular reading habits, improve their vocabulary and communication skills, strengthen critical thinking, and embrace independent learning.
The students actively participated in the visit and showed keen interest in exploring the facilities. Overall, the educational visit was an informative and enriching experience, inspiring students to develop a strong culture of reading and lifelong learning.

The Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Research and Development Cell, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Sustainability, Engineering & Education (ICMSEE’26) on 30 September 2026. The conference provided a platform for academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students to exchange ideas and explore emerging trends in sustainability, engineering, and education.
The resource persons were Dr. K. Aruna, Dean, School of Commerce, Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi, Chennai, and Dr. Arul Mary Rexy V, Professor and Head, Department of Commerce General, SIMATS University, Chennai. The conference commenced with a formal inaugural session, followed by keynote addresses.
The sessions were conducted in online and offline modes, with 274 participants registered and 66 research papers presented. Technical sessions covered sustainability, engineering innovations, educational transformation, and interdisciplinary research.
Best Paper Awards were presented for each track, along with presentation certificates for all participants. The conference concluded successfully as a meaningful platform for research, innovation, academic exchange, and sustainable development.

The School of Management, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised a Human Chain Activity to commemorate the International Day of Peace on 21 September 2026 at the SACAS Campus Gate. The programme was held from 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and was initiated with the encouragement of Principal Dr. S. Anbalagan, who motivated students to actively participate in the awareness activity.
Nearly 90 BBA students enthusiastically took part in the human chain, carrying creative charts featuring meaningful diagrams, inspiring messages and thought-provoking quotes on world peace. The activity aimed to create awareness about the importance of peace, unity and cooperation in society. The human chain symbolised solidarity, collective responsibility and teamwork in building a harmonious world. The students conveyed the inspiring message, “Together, We Can Achieve Peace.” The programme concluded successfully, fostering greater awareness of peace and global harmony among the participants.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized its Investiture Ceremony on 11 August 2026 at the SACAS Theatre, marking an important occasion as students formally took charge of their leadership positions and responsibilities.
The Principal delivered a special address, emphasizing that a leadership position is not merely an honour but a responsibility. He encouraged students to actively contribute to departmental activities, support their peers, maintain discipline, and perform their duties with sincerity and commitment.
The Chief Guest, Ms. G. Shyla Mary, Sub-Inspector of Police, Pallikaranai Traffic Investigation Wing, delivered an inspiring session on the meaning and responsible use of power. She explained how power can be used positively to bring meaningful change to society. She also highlighted the growing role of women in leadership and the importance of determination and courage.
Drawing inspiration from the life of Martin Luther King Jr., she demonstrated how responsible leadership and the effective use of power can inspire people and transform society. The ceremony motivated the newly appointed student leaders to lead with confidence, integrity, and responsibility.

The guest speaker, Mr. P. Lingasan, Coder Consultant, TCS, shared valuable insights from his journey from college to corporate life. He highlighted the importance of learning AI tools and using technology effectively in the workplace. He also guided students on building professional networks through LinkedIn and connecting with industry experts.
The session covered practical strategies for cracking interviews, earning certifications through reputed free online courses, and developing professional connections that can open doors to placements and international career opportunities. The engaging talk motivated students to continuously develop their skills, build strong networks, and stand out in the competitive job market.

School of Management, organised a Guest Lecture on "Personal Branding for Young Entrepreneurs" on 13 July 2026 at the College Auditorium. The programme featured Mr. Naresh Kumar Gopalakrishnan, Team Leader – GNK Global EXIM (Export) & Business Operations and Head at Cluster Squard Technologies, as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, the speaker emphasized that trust is the foundation of personal branding and business success. He encouraged students to adapt to emerging technologies, build a strong personal brand before starting a business, and remain consistent in their entrepreneurial journey. The session highlighted the effective use of social media platforms such as X (Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn, along with business platforms like IndiaMART and AI tools such as ChatGPT for customer engagement and business growth.
The lecture motivated students to explore government startup schemes, invest wisely, develop confidence in handling social media challenges, and cultivate the right mindset for entrepreneurial success.
