எஸ்.ஏ. கல்லூரியில் மகாகவி பாரதி முத்தமிழ் மன்றத் தொடக்கவிழா ஜூன் 24, 2026 அன்று பிற்பகல் 12.30 மணிக்குக் கல்லூரிக் கலையரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது. சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகச் சமூகப்பணிக் கல்லூரித் தமிழ்த்துறைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் சி. ஆர். மஞ்சுளா கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார்.
கல்லூரி நிர்வாகம், பயிற்சி மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்புப் பிரிவு இயக்குநர் முனைவர் கே. எஸ். பிரபாகர் முன்னிலை உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். முதல்வர் முனைவர் சொ. அன்பழகன் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார்.
தமிழ்த்துறைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் ச. ஸ்டாலின் சத்தியா தமிழ் மன்றம் குறித்து அறிமுகவுரை வழங்கினார். தமிழ்மன்றப் பொறுப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்களைத் தமிழ்த்துறை உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் திரு. வீரராகவன் அவைக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.
சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் முனைவர் சி.ஆர். மஞ்சுளா, தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்பியல்புகளை எடுத்துரைத்து, 'மொழியும் மாற்றமும்' என்ற தலைப்பில் உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். தமிழ் பயின்றால் கிடைக்கும் பணி வாய்ப்புகளையும் எடுத்துரைத்து மாணவர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்தினார்.
அதனையடுத்து மாணவர்கள் கவிதை, பாடல், உரை, நடனம் ஆகிய தனித்திறமைகளை வெளிப்படுத்தினர். தமிழ்துறை, மாணவர்கள் தங்கள் தனித்திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான ஒரு அருமையான களத்தை மகாகவி பாரதி முத்தமிழ் மன்றம் மூலம் அமைத்துக் கொடுத்துள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

S.A. College of Arts & Science, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Department of Tamil, organized a social outreach programme on 12 August 2026 to provide essential commodities to homes for the destitute elderly. The students first visited R.S. Annai Magizhchi Illam at Thirumullaivoyal, where they interacted warmly with the elderly residents and entertained them through songs, dances and other cultural performances. They also distributed essential groceries such as rice, pulses, cooking oil and sugar, along with new clothes and food items. Later, the students visited Parisutha Narkarunai Illam at Veerapuram, Avadi, where they distributed sweets, groceries, food items, diapers and a wheelchair. The students spent time interacting with the residents and brought joy to them through their friendly presence. This compassionate initiative by S.A. College reflects the students’ commitment to social responsibility and community service and deserves appreciation.

The Department of Tamil, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and Tamizhal Inaivom – World Tamil Movement of S.A. College of Arts & Science jointly organised a Thirukkural Seminar on 5 August 2026 to promote the life lessons and moral values found in the Thirukkural. The programme began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Swathi. Dr. V. Sai Sathyavathi, Director highlighted the greatness of the Thirukkural, while Dr. K.S. Prabakar, Director ( Admin & CDC) spoke about Thiruvalluvar’s ability to convey profound ideas in simple words. Mr. Sathya Narayanaraj Balaguru encouraged students to cherish the Tamil language. During the event, Dr. Subramanian’s book Then Sottum Agananuru was released. In his keynote address, he stressed the importance of lifelong learning and preserving Tamil while learning other languages. Dr. Meena Thiruppathi spoke on the significance of love and virtue in both personal and social life. The seminar successfully inspired students to follow the timeless wisdom of the Thirukkural.

The Department of Tamil, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, organized the release of the book "Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature" on 27 July 2026 at the college auditorium.
The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the welcome address by Dr. S. Stalin Sathya, Head of the Department of Tamil. Mrs. Anugraha Adhibhagavan, Director of Mugai Mazhalai School and Academy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the special address. The Correspondent of the College released the book and presented the first copy to the Chief Guest. The Correspondent also presided over the function, while the Directors of the Institution conveyed their felicitations.
In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted the richness of Tamil civilization and culture and emphasized the importance of cultivating the habit of reading in the present generation.
Dr. P. Vignesh Kumar, editor of the volume titled "Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature," presented an overview of the collection of essays. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, making the event a meaningful celebration of Tamil literary heritage and cultural values.

தமிழ்த்துறை உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் திரு. கு. சுரேஷ் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். கல்லூரி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் வி. சாய் சத்தியவதி திருக்குறளின் மாண்பை எடுத்துரைத்து முன்னிலை உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். நிர்வாகம், பயிற்சி மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்புத் துறை இயக்குநர் முனைவர் கே.எஸ். பிரபாகர் கல்வியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை எடுத்துரைத்து முன்னிலை உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் திரு. முயற்சி முருகேசன் அவர்களை முனைவர் இரா. கவிதா அவைக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.
தமிழின் சிறப்புகளையும் குறளின் மாண்புகளையும் எடுத்துரைத்து கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் சொ. அன்பழகன் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். அதனை அடுத்து, மகாகவி பாரதி முத்தமிழ் மன்றப் பொறுப்பாளர்களுக்கும், உறுப்பினர்களுக்கும் பேட்ஜ்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
சிறிய விஷயங்களில்தான் மாற்றம் அடங்கி இருக்கிறது. காலத்தினால் செய்த பல்வேறு உதவிகளை உலக நிகழ்வுகளின் வாயிலாக எடுத்துக் காட்டினார். நல்ல மனித சமுதாயத்தை உருவாக்க மாணவர்கள் திருக்குறளைப் படிக்க வலியுறுத்தினார். கல்வி மிகப்பெரிய மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்கக்கூடிய கருவி.ஒரு முறை கல்வி கற்றால் ஏழு தலைமுறைகளும் வாழும் என்று கல்வியின் சிறப்பைச் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் எடுத்துரைத்தார்.
உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் ம. ரம்யா நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார். உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் ஈ. இசக்கியம்மாள் நிகழ்ச்சியைத் தொகுத்து வழங்கினார். தமிழ்த்துறைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் ச. ஸ்டாலின் சத்யா நிகழ்ச்சியை மிகச் சிறப்பாக வழிநடத்தினார்.

எஸ்.ஏ. கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியின் தமிழ்த்துறை, மாநில அளவிலான வாகை கலை இலக்கியப் போட்டிகள் பரிசளிப்பு விழாவை மார்ச் 10, 2026 அன்று காலை 9 மணிக்குச் சிறப்பாக நடத்தியது. சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகத் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித்துறை இயக்குநர் முனைவர் ஒளவை அருள் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார். கல்லூரி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் சாய் சத்யவதி முன்னிலையுரை நிகழ்த்தினார். தமிழ்த்துறைத் தலைவர் திரு. மா. விஜயகுமார் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் முனைவர் ஒளவை அருள் அவர்களை அவைக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்து வைத்தார்.
மாநில அளவிலான வாகை கலை இலக்கியப் போட்டிகளில் வென்ற மாணவர்களுக்குச் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் முனைவர் ஒளவை அருள் அவர்கள் அறுபதாயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட பொற்கிழிப் பரிசையும், சான்றிதழ்களையும் வழங்கினார். முனைவர் ஒளவை அருள் அவர்கள் தமிழின் சிறப்புகளை எடுத்தியம்பி, திருக்குறள் முற்றோதலை மாணவர்களிடத்து வலியுறுத்தினார்.
பரிசு பெற்ற மாணவர்கள் உரையும், பாடல்களும் பாடி அவையோரை மகிழ்வித்தனர். கவிஞர் ஆவிச்சி கிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள், மேடைப் பேச்சு பேசுவதற்கான சில நுணுக்கங்களைப் பற்றி மாணவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைததார். கல்லூரித் தாளாளர் திரு. ப. வெங்கடேஷ் ராஜா, இயக்குநர் முனைவர் சாய் சத்யவதி, முதல்வர் முனைவர் மாலதி செல்வக்குமார் ஆகியோரின் வழிகாட்டுதல்படி, முத்தமிழின் மாண்பையும், மாணவர்களின் பங்களிப்பையும் இந்நிகழ்ச்சி சிறப்பாக விளக்கியது.

எஸ்.ஏ. கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியின் தமிழ்த்துறை உலகத் தாய்மொழி தின விழாவை பிப்ரவரி 20, 2026 அன்று கல்லூரித் திரையரங்கில் மிகச் சிறப்பாகக் கொண்டாடியது. தாய்மொழியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும், தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்பையும் மாணவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கும் நோக்கில் இவ்விழா ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது. சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக இசையமைப்பாளர் மற்றும் பாடலாசிரியர் திரு.ராஜா மற்றும் சூப்பர் சிங்கர் பின்னணிப் பாடகி செல்வி சாரா சுருதி ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தனர்.
நிகழ்ச்சிக்குக் கல்லூரி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் சாய் சத்யவதி தமிழ் மொழியின் மாண்புகளை எடுத்துரைத்து சிறப்புரை வழங்கினார். சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள் திரு. ராஜா மற்றும் செல்வி சாரா சுருதி ஆகியோர் செவிக்கினிய தமிழிசைப் பாடல்களையும், திரையிசைப் பாடல்களையும் பாடி அவையோரை மகிழ்வித்தனர். அதனையடுத்து மாணவர்கள் தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்பைப் பறைசாற்றும் வண்ணம் கவிதை மற்றும் உரைகள் வழங்கினர். இந்நிகழ்ச்சி தாய்மொழியாம் தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்புகளை இளைஞர்களிடத்துப் பெரிதும் வலியுறுத்தியது.

SACAS Hosts “Vaagai 2026” Inter-Collegiate Arts and Literary Competitions
The Department of Tamil, S.A. College of Arts & Science, successfully organized inter-collegiate arts and literary competitions for college students under the title “Vaagai 2026” on January 29, 2026. The event aimed to promote artistic expression and literary interest among young learners. Various competitions such as speech, singing, and quiz were conducted as part of the programme.
The inaugural session was graced by renowned film lyricist Pavalar Arivumathi, who attended the event as the chief guest. In his address, he inspired the students by highlighting the richness of Sangam literature, modern poetry, and film songs, and strongly emphasized the importance of nurturing a deep love for the Tamil language among the youth.
A total of 119 students from 61 colleges participated enthusiastically in the competitions. All participants were awarded participation certificates. The prize distribution ceremony for Vaagai 2026 will be held shortly. The event was widely appreciated for successfully fostering arts and literary awareness among college students.

தமிழர்தம் பாரம்பரிய சிறப்பைப் பறைசாற்றும் வண்ணம் சென்னை திருவேற்காட்டில் அமைந்துள்ள எஸ்.ஏ. கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் பொங்கல் விழா மிகச் கோலாகலமாகக் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. பொங்கல் சிறப்பு பட்டிமன்றம், பிரசாந்தின் இசை முருகன் கிராமிய கலைக் குழுவினர் வழங்கும் நாட்டுப்புறக் கலை நிகழ்ச்சி, தாண்டவம் பரதநாட்டியக் குழு வழங்கும் பரதநாட்டியம், மாணவர்களின் நாட்டுப்புறக் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் மற்றும் கிராமிய மணம் கமழும் பாரம்பரிய சமையல் அரங்குகள் என சமத்துவப் பொங்கல் மற்றும் ஐம்பெரும் விழாவாக எஸ்.ஏ. கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரி முழுவதும் கிராமிய மணம் கமழ்ந்தது. கல்லூரித் தாளாளர் திரு. ப. வெங்கடேஷ் ராஜா தலைமையில், இயக்குநர் முனைவர் வி. சாய் சத்யவதி, முதல்வர் முனைவர் மாலதி செல்வக்குமார் ஆகியோர் முன்னிலையில் பொங்கல் விழா மிகச் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது.
சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகத் திரைப்படப் பாடலாசிரியர் கவிஞர் சினேகன் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார். தம்முடைய திரைப்படப் பாடல் அனுபவங்கள், வாழ்க்கை அனுபவங்கள் ஆகியவற்றைப் பற்றி எடுத்துரைத்து அனுபவமே வாழ்க்கையாக முகிழ்க்கிறது என்று குறிப்பிட்டார். தமிழ்த்துறை ஒருங்கிணைத்து நடத்திய இப்பொங்கல் விழாவில் கிராமிய மணம் கமழும் பல்வேறு அரங்குகள், இராட்டினங்கள், பஞ்சு மிட்டாய், சவ்வு மிட்டாய், குதிரை வண்டி, உறியடி என ஒரு கிராமமே எஸ்.ஏ. கல்லூரிக்கு வந்திறங்கியதோ என எண்ணும் அளவுக்குக் கல்லூரி அழகுடன் பரிமளித்தது.

Pongal Festival Celebrated with Grandeur at S.A. College of Arts & Science
The Pongal festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and traditional splendour at S.A. College of Arts & Science, Thiruverkadu, Chennai, on 12th and 13th of January, 2026 highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. The campus transformed into a vibrant rural landscape with a variety of traditional programmes, including a special Pattimandram, folk performances by Prasanth’s Isai Murugan Gramiya Kalai Kuzhu, Bharatanatyam by the Thandavam troupe, and cultural performances by students. Traditional food stalls, rural games, bullock-cart displays, pot-breaking events, and native sweets added to the festive spirit.
The celebration was held under the leadership of the Correspondent Thiru P. Venkatesh Raja, in the presence of Director Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi and Principal Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar. Renowned film lyricist and poet Snehan graced the occasion as the chief guest and shared inspiring insights from his life and professional experiences. Organised by the Department of Tamil, the event created a truly immersive village atmosphere, making the festival a memorable cultural celebration.
