School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, conducted a session on Program titled “Dynamics of Communicational Intelligence” on July 29, 2025. The session focused on the theme "English language."
Mr. Narendranath Uppala Chief Mentor, Nareen Edutech Consulting, Malaysia , was the chief Guest. Mr.Narendranath delivered a highly informative and engaging session on the fundamentals of English grammar. He clearly explained key concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and verb tenses, making them easy to understand. Using real-life examples and interactive methods, he encouraged student participation and helped them relate grammar to everyday communication. He also shared personal experiences, highlighting the importance of English in today’s world for education and career growth. The session was both educational and motivational, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
Overall, the session was highly interactive, informative, and inspiring. Mr. Uppala’s ability to simplify complex topics, his practical approach to teaching, and his motivational insights made the session a valuable learning experience for all the students involved.

Empowered Choices: Anti-Drug Awareness Program at SACAS
The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, conducted an Anti-Drug Awareness Program titled “Empowered Choices: Rising Above the Influence” on July 28, 2025, to observe National Toll-Free Day. The session focused on the theme "Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking."
Mr. Jubin Sam, Sub-Inspector from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Chennai Zone, was the guest speaker. He spoke about the harmful effects of natural and synthetic drugs, the causes of drug abuse, and its impact on society. He also explained the legal, social, and health issues linked to drug use, including HIV, accidents, and mental health problems.
Using real-life examples, Mr. Jubin made the session relatable and thought-provoking. The program successfully raised awareness among students and encouraged them to make positive life choices.
The event came to an end with a pledge: “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs,” inspiring everyone to live a healthy and drug-free life.

Department of Computer Science, S.A. College of Arts and Science, in association with The Nexus Technovate Club, organized an expert talk on the topic "Gateway to the IT Industry" on 28th July 2025 at 12:00 p.m. The session was held in the Computer Science Laboratory and was presided over by Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications. The event witnessed active participation from 85 students and department faculty members.
The resource person for the session, Mr. Nixon Abraham, Microsoft SQL Server DBA and Azure Cloud Specialist at Atos, delivered an insightful lecture on the various entry points into the IT field. He highlighted the significance of technical skills, certifications, and current industry demands, especially in cloud computing and database technologies. Mr. Nixon emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in this rapidly evolving industry.

The Department of Bank Management at S.A. College of Arts & Science, successfully organized a vibrant Freshers Day celebration on July 28, 2025, at 12:30 PM in the SACAS Auditorium. The event aimed to warmly welcome the new batch of students to the department.
The celebration was meticulously planned and enthusiastically executed by the II and III-year students. Their efforts ensured a memorable experience filled with joy, bonding, and excitement. A total of 229 students, including freshers and seniors, along with faculty members and the Head of the Department, attended the program.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances, musical acts, interactive games, and heartfelt speeches. These activities helped create a lively and inclusive environment where freshers felt comfortable and connected with their new surroundings.

The Department of Computer Applications at S.A. College of Arts and Science hosted a vibrant and memorable event on 25th July 2025 at 2:00 PM in the SACAS Auditorium, marking the official inauguration of THE SKILL ELEVATION CLUB alongside FRESH FEST’25, the Fresher’s Day celebration for the newly admitted first-year students.
The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome address that set an enthusiastic tone for the occasion. The highlight of the first half was the formal launch of the Skill Elevation Club, a platform envisioned to foster innovation, collaboration, and technical growth among students. The club aims to organize seminars, coding competitions, hands-on workshops, and intercollegiate programs to encourage students to enhance their skills beyond academics.
The second segment of the event brought a celebratory atmosphere with Fresh Fest’25, designed to warmly welcome the freshers into the college community. The new students displayed their talents through energetic dance performances, melodious songs, and engaging games. The active involvement of seniors and faculty created an inclusive and supportive environment that helped the newcomers feel at home.
The program was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications. A total of 138 students and faculty members participated in the event.

The session featured Mr. Sendhil Annamalai, CEO & Business Mentor of Vibrant Education Learning Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Vibrant Education (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., as the resource person. He shared valuable insights into the evolving startup ecosystem, highlighting key trends such as digital transformation, innovation, sustainable models, and opportunities for student entrepreneurs.

SACAS Men’s Badminton Team bags Winner Trophy at YMCA BUCK Memorial Tournament Chennai, July 24:
The men's badminton team of S.A. College of Arts & Science achieved a historic victory by winning the Winner Trophy for the first time at the prestigious YMCA BUCK Memorial State Level Intercollegiate Men's Badminton Tournament held in Chennai.
Organized at the YMCA grounds, the SACAS team triumphed in the semifinal with a 3-0 win over RMK Vivekananda College. Star player M.N. Yaakesh won the first singles (15-8, 15-6), A. Deepak secured the second singles (15-11, 15-9), and the Yaakesh-Deepak duo clinched the doubles (15-10, 15-7).
In a thrilling final, SACAS defeated Gurunanak College 3-0. Yaakesh, Barath, and the doubles pair dominated in tightly contested matches.

Chennai, July 22, 2025 – The Library of S.A. College of Arts & Science has officially entered into an Institutional Membership with the prestigious Anna Centenary Library, Kotturpuram, Chennai – 85. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on July 22, 2025, in the esteemed presence of Dr. S. Kamatchi and Dr. S. Santhankarthikeyan, Chief and Deputy Librarians of Anna Centenary Library.
This landmark collaboration will give students and faculty members of SACAS access to one of Asia’s largest libraries, offering a vast collection of books, digital resources, research materials, and reference services.
