The PG Department of Commerce, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an insightful Guest Lecture on “Financial Literacy & Wealth Management” on August 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
The session was led by Mr. Kaja Rahamathullah K, Business Analyst at Imarticus Learning, who stressed the importance of financial literacy in today’s fast-changing world. He guided students on the fundamentals of budgeting, saving, investment, and long-term wealth creation.
Mr. Rahamathullah emphasized that financial planning goes beyond expense management—it is about making informed choices that ensure financial stability and growth. Sharing practical strategies and real-life examples, he made complex financial concepts simple and relatable for the students.
The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation, with students asking questions and seeking guidance on everyday financial challenges. The lecture encouraged them to adopt disciplined financial habits and prepare for a secure future.

The Rotaract Club of SACAS, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and NSS, organized a Guest Lecture on “Digital Safety” on 29th August 2025 at Government Higher Secondary School, Senneerkkuppam. The session was delivered by Mr. Krishnan. R, Head, Department of B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence, S.A. College of Arts & Science. He highlighted the importance of password security, safe browsing practices, and the risks of phishing and cyber threats. Students actively interacted and gained valuable insights on protecting themselves in the digital world. The event was informative and successfully spread awareness about safe online practices.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, hosted CASETHON – The CEO’s Chair: Case Studies as Decision Labs on August 29, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the SACAS Theatre. The session featured Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Management, SRM Ramapuram, as the chief guest.
In his address, Dr. Praveen Kumar shared insights from India’s top 15 highest-paid CEOs of 2025, emphasizing that true business success lies in delivering customer satisfaction rather than just selling products. He illustrated this with examples—Coca-Cola selling “happiness,” Maggi offering taste and convenience for decades, and ICICI Prudential providing future security.
He further highlighted the need to identify customer pain points and define target audiences effectively, citing brands like Taj Hotels and Close Up. The interactive session sharpened students’ listening and communication skills while reinforcing the importance of customer-centric strategies in business leadership.

The School of Management at S.A. College of Arts & Science, inaugurated the WOW HR Student Chapter on August 28, 2025, at the SACAS Theatre. The event, held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, featured distinguished guests Mr. Pandi Alagu Raja M, Head – People & Culture at Deluxe and Mentor at WOW HR, and Dr. Saravanan Thinayarasamy.
In his address on “Introduction to WOW HR,” Mr. Pandi emphasized the growing influence of LinkedIn in HR for hiring, learning, and professional growth. He also highlighted WOW HR’s commitment to innovation and technology through active chapters like Chennai. Dr. Saravanan urged students to focus on the “why, what, and how” of HR, stressing core values like Respect, Integrity, Trust, and Empathy (RITE). He emphasized the importance of empathetic leadership.
The session was insightful, engaging, and especially beneficial for MBA students exploring careers in HR.

The Department of CS with AI celebrated a Freshers day on 26th August ,2025. The event started at 2 pm in the afternoon. Seniors warmly welcomed junior students with special games and talent shows. Two first-year students showcased their skills by playing the keyboard and singing a song. Several students participated in stage performances, displaying their talents. The event was filled with enthusiasm and excitement. The seniors presented welcome gifts to the juniors. The program concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impression. It was a memorable day for all participants. The event marked a wonderful beginning for the juniors in their new academic journey.

The PG Department of Commerce, S.A. College of Arts & Science, successfully hosted Vinayak Fest 2k25, an Inter-Department Competition titled “Remover of Obstacles – Seek Blessings & Share the Joy” on 26th August 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the SACAS Canteen. Celebrating the spiritual essence of Lord Ganesha’s birth, the event aimed to blend festivity with creativity, devotion, and cultural expression.
Students from various departments participated enthusiastically in vibrant competitions such as rangoli design, idol decoration, devotional singing, and creative art displays—all themed around Vinayaka Chaturthi. The lively atmosphere, filled with colors, devotion, and artistic flair, truly captured the festive spirit.
The event not only provided a platform to showcase talent but also fostered unity and joy among participants. Winners were recognized for their outstanding efforts, and the overall celebration served as a beautiful reminder of the power of togetherness, creativity, and cultural heritage.

The PG Department of Commerce, at S.A. College of Arts & Science, kick-started the academic year 2025–2027 with a vibrant Orientation Program for the newly admitted M.Com students on 26th August 2025. The session was graced by esteemed Guest Speaker Mr. Rakesh Shankar Ravi Shankar, who delivered an inspiring and insightful address.
The orientation aimed to welcome freshers and guide them through their academic journey by introducing the curriculum, departmental culture, academic resources, and available opportunities. Mr. Rakesh emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and lifelong learning in achieving success. He encouraged students to build strong conceptual foundations and actively engage in research, seminars, and co-curricular activities.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized EMRACE’25 – Orientation Program for Future Leaders on August 26, 2025, at the SACAS Theatre, featuring two insightful sessions by distinguished international speakers.
The first session, held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., was delivered by Mr. Sonic Duran, Commercial Manager, Pandora Logistics (Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam). He highlighted the vital role of logistics in global business, explaining how supply chains drive international trade. He also discussed the impact of technology in streamlining operations and addressed challenges such as customs regulations, transportation issues, and global disruptions.
The second session, conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., featured Dr. Dinesh Elango, Professor of Business, American University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He shared insights on the growing importance of business analytics in decision-making. Demonstrating tools like Power BI and Google Trends, he explained how data visualization and consumer behavior analysis help businesses identify opportunities and stay competitive.
Both sessions enriched students with practical knowledge, preparing them to embrace leadership roles in a dynamic global market.

The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science proudly participated in a Guinness World Record event titled “End Polio Now,” on 24th August, 2025. Organized by Rotary International and the District Rotaract Club of Ambattur, RID 3234. This special event aimed to raise awareness about polio eradication and the power of collective action.
A remarkable 470 students from the college took part, showing their strong commitment to global health and social responsibility. Their participation added great value to the record attempt and highlighted the importance of youth in driving positive change.
The event inspired students to become ambassadors for a healthier, polio-free world and to take pride in being part of a global cause. It was more than a record-breaking moment—it was a powerful reminder that united efforts can truly make a difference.
Together, they stood for a future without polio—one step closer to ending the disease forever.
