The Department of Computer Science inaugurated The Nexus Innovate Club today. The Chief Guest was Ms. Jayashree, Director, Feathered Fawns Academy. 

The Office Bearers took pledge and got their badges.. 

Then there was a guest lecture on VEDIC MATHS - A GAME CHANGER FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS.

Around 300 students of the department of Computer Science and Applications actively participated in the event


Campus drive for MBA students on 27.01.2025

MENTOR INFOCOMM conducted an exclusive campus drive for MBA students at *SA College of Arts and Science* on *Jan 27, 2025*.  

With *3 rounds of interviews*—Assessment, HR, and One-on-One—students showcased their talent and potential, making the event a huge success!  

The energy was high, and participation was on point!

Mr.Rathish Babu explained Reverse mentoring is a powerful tool that bridges generational gaps and enhances skills across various dimensions. It strengthens observation in STEM by exposing senior leaders to advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, keeping them updated with modern trends like AI and automation. By fostering creative thinking, reverse mentoring encourages innovative solutions by combining younger employees' fresh ideas with seasoned leaders' strategic insights. It preserves intellectual heritage by facilitating a two-way transfer of knowledge—where juniors share insights into modern tools, and seniors impart wisdom and organizational values. The process also enhances critical thinking by challenging traditional mindsets, pushing both parties to re-evaluate existing processes and adopt new approaches. Furthermore, creative communication is developed as juniors teach senior leaders to leverage modern tools like social media, visual storytelling, and digital collaboration platforms for effective engagement. Through reverse mentoring, senior leaders gain adaptability, digital literacy, and fresh perspectives, while junior employees develop leadership skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of organizational strategies, fostering mutual growth and innovation. 

The enthusiastic Q&A participation showcased students' keen interest in expert Lecture session and Reverse mentoring helps students build leadership skills and confidence while sharing modern insights, enabling mutual learning and personal growth.


Department of Accounting and Finance, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), organized a one-day guest lecture to celebrate National Startup Day 27.01.2025

Department of Accounting and Finance, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), organized a one-day guest lecture to celebrate National Startup Day. The event was held at the SACAS Preview Theater and was aimed at inspiring and educating students on the potential and challenges of startups and investments.

The distinguished guest speaker for the event, Mr. Jubran Siddique, provided students with valuable insights into the world of investments and startup ideation. His presentation was both informative and thought-provoking, covering essential aspects of launching and sustaining a startup, such as market research, risk management, funding opportunities, and the evolving trends in the entrepreneurial landscape.

Mr. Siddique’s expertise and real-world experiences helped to deepen students' understanding of the startup ecosystem. His session encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to think critically about innovative ideas and how to turn them into successful ventures. 

In addition to Mr. Siddique’s lecture, he explained the real meaning of BIG which is B-Books all must read lots of books to gain knowledge, I- Individuals you meet, and G-Goals you keep,                      the event was interactive, with students actively sharing their thoughts and discussing their startup ideas. This collaborative session allowed students to gain feedback and suggestions on their ideas from both the guest speaker and their peers, creating a dynamic learning environment.

The session was incredibly useful for the budding entrepreneurs at SACAS, providing them with practical knowledge and the motivation to pursue their startup ambitions. The event was a significant success and proved to be an enriching experience for all attendees.

Department of Corporate Secretaryship is organizing SASCO 2024-25, an Inter-School Award Function on 25.01.2025

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship and The Corporate Governance Professionals' Association organised the Awards Distribution Ceremony of "SASCO 2024-2025", an Inter-School event aimed to bring out and nurture the talents of school students. 515 participantions were recieved in the event through online mode. Competitions were conducted under 12 different categories, inviting event submissions through online registration.

The session started by 2: 00 pm with the recital of Tamil Thai Vazhthu and lighting of the lamp.

The event featured three chief guests, Mr. K. R. Sathyan , Director of Sathyas Geethanjali School of Music, Dr. Vijayam Karthik, Founder and teacher in Vijayam Dance Academy and Miss. Neha Giri from Super Singer Season 8.

All the chief guests presented the gathering with incredible music and dance performances.

The chief guests also delivered inspirational and motivational speeches which gave an incredible morale boost to the students.

Students from the Department of Corporate Secretaryship performed various performances like songs, dance and skit to entertain he audience.


Central Library Organize Indian Knowledge System A Special Talk on 24.01.2025

The Central Library organized a highly enlightening event on 24th January 2025, featuring Dr. M. Palaniappan, Assistant Professor, Department of Library and Information Science, Periyar University, Salem, as the guest speaker. The event was attended by all students and faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and Computer Application, who actively participated in this insightful session.

Dr. M. Palaniappan delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the topic “Adopting the Indian Knowledge System within the Broader Framework of the Importance of Libraries Beyond AI.” His PowerPoint presentation highlighted the significance of integrating traditional Indian knowledge systems into modern academic and professional landscapes, emphasizing the enduring role of libraries as hubs of learning and innovation even in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The session opened with an introduction to the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), showcasing its deep roots in various domains such as mathematics, medicine, astronomy, and philosophy. Dr. Palaniappan elaborated on how the wealth of ancient Indian texts and manuscripts can offer fresh perspectives to contemporary research and innovation.

He then transitioned to discussing the importance of libraries in preserving, curating, and disseminating knowledge across generations. In an era where AI dominates many aspects of information retrieval and management, Dr. Palaniappan emphasized that libraries continue to play a critical role as spaces for community interaction, intellectual engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The event was well-received, leaving participants inspired to explore the intersection of traditional knowledge, modern technology, and the enduring significance of libraries. The Department of Computer Science expressed its gratitude to Dr. Palaniappan for his invaluable insights and stimulating discussion.


SACAS Department of Physical Education organizes 1st State Level Inter-School Boys & Girls Tournament "PALESTRA' 25," held on 23.01.2025 and 24.01.2025

Department of Physical Education, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the 1st State Level Inter-School Boys & Girls Tournament "PALESTRA' 25," held on the 23rd and 24th of January 2025.

First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank our honorable Correspondent, Sir, for his unwavering support and encouragement in organizing this insightful Tournament . Your guidance has been a cornerstone in making this event possible.

I also extend my deep gratitude to our beloved Principal, Madam, and Director, Madam, for their inspiring leadership and constant motivation, which continually drives us to excel in the Department of Physical Education.

MMA Student Chapter, School of Management in association with MMA organised Workshop on “Effective CRM using Generative AI Tools & Chatbots,” with Mr. M. Kannan, Management Consultant, Chennai. Mr. M. Kannan explained the core components of AI, including data training, machine learning, and deep learning. He emphasized CRM as a strategy for managing relationships with customers and improving business growth by personalizing interactions and enhancing customer experiences. Mr. Kannan elaborated on the practical applications of AI in CRM, including automation, predictive analysis, personalized interactions, AI-powered chatbots, and enhanced security, citing Broadridge's AI success in India as an example. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session, demonstrating students’ strong interest in mastering communication in the business world.
