Logistics in Focus: Expert Lecture at SACAS Unveils Promising Career Paths

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an expert lecture titled *“Career Opportunities & Future in Logistics”* on July 30, 2025, at the SACAS Theatre from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Vijayrao Ganpati Sharbidre, Managing Director of VJ’S Express and Cargo Services, was the guest speaker. He provided a comprehensive overview of the logistics sector, highlighting its rapid growth driven by initiatives like Make in India and the boom in e-commerce, green logistics, and digital transformation.

He discussed global opportunities in logistics hubs such as Singapore and Dubai, and emphasized the importance of qualifications like BBA/MBA, technical tools like SAP, Power BI, Tableau, and soft skills such as negotiation and problem-solving.

The session was interactive and insightful, encouraging students to gain practical experience through internships and industry exposure. It reignited interest in logistics as a dynamic and evolving career path.

School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, conducted a session on Program titled “Dynamics of Communicational Intelligence” on July 29, 2025. The session focused on the theme "English language."

Mr. Narendranath Uppala Chief Mentor, Nareen Edutech Consulting, Malaysia , was the chief Guest. Mr.Narendranath delivered a highly informative and engaging session on the fundamentals of English grammar. He clearly explained key concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and verb tenses, making them easy to understand. Using real-life examples and interactive methods, he encouraged student participation and helped them relate grammar to everyday communication. He also shared personal experiences, highlighting the importance of English in today’s world for education and career growth. The session was both educational and motivational, leaving a lasting impact on the students.

Empowered Choices: Anti-Drug Awareness Program at SACAS

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, conducted an Anti-Drug Awareness Program titled “Empowered Choices: Rising Above the Influence” on July 28, 2025, to observe National Toll-Free Day. The session focused on the theme "Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking."

Mr. Jubin Sam, Sub-Inspector from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Chennai Zone, was the guest speaker. He spoke about the harmful effects of natural and synthetic drugs, the causes of drug abuse, and its impact on society. He also explained the legal, social, and health issues linked to drug use, including HIV, accidents, and mental health problems.

Using real-life examples, Mr. Jubin made the session relatable and thought-provoking. The program successfully raised awareness among students and encouraged them to make positive life choices.

The event came to an end with a pledge: “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs,” inspiring everyone to live a healthy and drug-free life.

Expert Lecture on “Business as a Process” Enlightens Management Students at SACAS

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized an expert lecture on “Business as a Process” on July 4, 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. B. Vijay Kumar, Project Manager–IT at BNP Paribas India Solutions.

The lecture focused on helping students understand how a business idea is born and developed. Mr. Vijay Kumar explained the various phases of a business — Ideation, Execution, Development, Evaluation, and Delivery — with real-world examples, making the session both insightful and practical.

He also emphasized the integration of Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource functions in building a successful business model. The session was highly interactive, with enthusiastic student participation and thoughtful questions.

This initiative by the School of Management aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-time industry insights, encouraging students to think critically and creatively about business processes.

SACAS Students Gain Financial Wisdom at Behindwoods Wealth & Prosperity Summit 2025 Chennai, June 30, 2025 — A group of 65 enthusiastic students from SA College of Arts & Science participated in the prestigious Behindwoods Wealth & Prosperity Summit held at Holiday Inn, OMR (near SRP Tools), Chennai. The event ran from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and featured 13 inspiring sessions led by top industry leaders, entrepreneurs, professors, and motivational speakers.

The participants included 6 students from BBA, 35 from MBA, and 24 from B.Com Corporate Secretaryship. The summit began with a powerful session by Mr. P.R. Sundhar, who emphasized the importance of creative and critical thinking. Mr. Nakkieran Gopal shared real-life lessons on overcoming challenges, while Mr. Soma Valliappan provided insights into trading, the stock market, and risk management.

Prof. Pattabiraman from IIT Madras guided students on equity investment strategies. Mr. Damodharan and Mr. Abdual Nabeel offered entrepreneurial insights, while Mr. Gopi shed light on gold investment. Mr. Sugi Sivam inspired students to view wealth beyond money—through knowledge and human connection.

Minister Thiru. Siva Mayyanathan spoke about education, women’s development, and government schemes. Other notable speakers included Mr. Gopinath, Mr. Faisal, Mr. Waseem Mubarak, and Mrs. Bharathi Baskar, each contributing valuable knowledge on finance, planning, and entrepreneurship.

The summit’s theme, “One Day Could Change Your Preparation Path Forever!” reflected the life-changing experience it offered. The event enhanced students' financial literacy, goal-setting skills, and business mindset, marking a significant step in their academic and personal growth.

The event commenced with a welcome address, where the I MBA students warmly received their seniors and faculty members, expressing gratitude and admiration for the II MBA batch’s contributions and leadership throughout their time in the department.

The atmosphere came alive with cultural performances, including dance and singing, all performed enthusiastically by the I MBA students. These performances added color, energy, and a festive spirit to the occasion.
