The School of Management, S.A.College of Arts & Science organised a expert talk on "Sustainability In Business Strategy “on 23.10.2024 for I year MBA students. Mr. Ganesh.S, Director of Technogems Inc, Chennai, was the resource person. Mr.Ganesh emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability inbusiness practices, where he explained about the Environmental sustainability focused by reducing carbon emissions, optimizing energy use, and minimizing waste. He also explained about Economic sustainability & its impact on profitability through cost-saving measures, he focused on innovation, and resilient business models. He also the need for social sustainability which promotes ethical labor practices, employee well-being, diversity, and community engagement. The session also highlighted on how businesses can implement these principles by adopting renewable energy, fostering innovation in green products, prioritizing employee welfare, and actively supporting communities.Mr.Ganesh, concluded the session by highlighting the need for embedding sustainability into core strategies by which companies can achieve profitability while creating positive environmental and social impacts. The session was interactive and students actively participated.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a workshop on "AI in Functional Areas of Management" on 07.10.2024 and 08.10.2024 for MBA students. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sathya from Meta Cognitive Technologies Pvt. Ltd., focusing on various AI tools applicable in management. Participants were introduced to Gamma AI, which is used for creating presentations, and Merlin.ai, designed for automatic email replies. Other tools covered included Wave to Zoho Books for maintaining accounts, Kai AI for business evaluations, and Kasisto for enhancing customer interactions. Mr. Sathya highlighted the use of Alteryx for data analysis and IBM Watson X for business insights. Additionally, participants learned about H2O AI for predictive analytics, ARIMA for forecasting, and Deep AR Forecast for stock price predictions. The session also showcased various AI applications in Excel, such as Numerous AI and Excel AI, alongside AIPRM for report writing and Rytr.me for content creation. The workshop included practical sessions where students created a dashboard using Tableau and concluded each day with interactive quiz sessions. Overall, the workshop provided valuable insights into how AI can be effectively integrated into various functional areas of management, making it an engaging and thought-provoking experience for all attendees.

The PG Department of the School of Management, MBA 2nd-year students, organized a grand fresher’s day event titled "Zenith Rave It Up" to warmly welcome the incoming MBA batch of 2024-2026 on October 3rd, 2024. The event, held at the SACAS Auditorium from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, aimed to break the ice and build camaraderie among the new faces. It featured an eclectic mix of performances, speeches, and games, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The well-coordinated efforts of the organizing team ensured that the event was memorable and left a positive impact on the fresher’s, setting the tone for their academic journey ahead. Thus, programme, served as a networking platform, allowing freshers to connect with seniors and faculty.

The School of Management , S.A.College of Atrs & Science organised Financial Market Professional Certification Programme on "Fundamentals of Equity Research Analysis,"on 30.09.2024 and 01.10.2024 for MBA students. Mr. Glenn Roger Carr, Founder and Director of Finmark, was the resource person. The main focus of the workshop was on the secondary market. Mr. Glenn educated the students on the operations of the secondary market, role of derivatives and valuation of firm. He also explained how hedging of securities will help in reducing risk. emphasized the importance of these tools in stabilizing earnings and optimizing a firm's market value. The session not only provided an insight of secondary market but also emphasised the benefit of investment in secondary markets in spite of the risks involved. The session was interactive and thought provoking.

School of Management & School of Commerce (PG-General) organised Workshop on Tools used for Analysis & Business Interpretation for MBA & M.Com Students, by Dr.S.Xavier Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Statistics, Loyola College, Chennai on 18/09/2024 & 19/09/2024 .In the workshop basic concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics were introduced, along with practical applications using SPSS. The students were given exercises which helped in reinforcing theoretical knowledge and build confidence in using SPSS. The workshop was conducted to equip participants with essential SPSS skills, fostering a foundation for further statistical analysis. The participants found the workshop informative and engaging.

Mr.Arulmozhi shared his real life experiences with the students and motivated them to start their own venture, he insisted that it is better to be self employed than working as an employee. He emphasised the need to develop soft skills after identifying their own area of interest, as developing these skills will not only enhance ability to run a business but also contribute to overall personal development. The session was interactive .

The second session on 10/09/2024 was led by Mr.U.Peter Sahaya Raj CEO & MD. He enlightened the students with emerging trends in industries which is rapidly evolving, and the role of future managers who are expected to adapt and lead with a multifaceted skill set, critical thinking, creativity, and data-driven decision-making which are foundational, as businesses increasingly rely on digital technologies and AI. He also insisted that emotional intelligence (EQ) and social intelligence (SQ) are just as crucial as IQ. Mr. Vijayakumar began his session by sharing his personal journey in the IT, offering the participants a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities he encountered along the way. He shared candid stories about his career progression, starting from his early roles as Business Analyst to leading complex projects. This session provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of IT related management skills, with a strong focus on his personal experiences throughout his career.
