The S.A. School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized a three-day workshop on "Financial Planning & Wealth Management" on 20, 21, and 24 July 2026 for MBA students. The workshop aimed to enhance students' understanding of investment strategies, financial planning, and wealth creation.
Mr. Glenn Roger Carr, Founder and Director of Finmark, served as the resource person for the first two sessions. He explained the functioning of the secondary market, the role of derivatives, firm valuation, and the importance of hedging in reducing investment risk and improving financial stability. Students also received hands-on training in AI-based financial planning and learned the significance of insurance planning for long-term financial security.
The third day's session on online trading was conducted by Mr. Uthiramoorthy, who provided practical exposure to trading platforms and shared valuable insights into the secondary market. He highlighted both the opportunities and risks involved in investing. The workshop was highly interactive and equipped students with practical financial knowledge and essential wealth management skills for their future careers.

The Career Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts & Science conducted a CA Awareness Programme for first- and second-year students on 27 July 2026. The session introduced students to the CA course structure, eligibility, examination process, career opportunities, and available preparation platforms. First-year students gained an early understanding of the CA pathway and the skills required, while second-year students received guidance on registration, study planning and balancing academic and CA preparation. The programme motivated students to make informed decisions and pursue professional careers in accountancy and finance with confidence.

The PG Department of Computer Science, in association with IQAC, S.A. College of Arts & Science, inaugurated CODEX – Coding & Innovation Club on 27 July 2026 at the Data Science Laboratory. The club was launched to provide students with a dynamic platform to enhance their coding skills, encourage innovation, and promote collaborative learning.
The programme began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address by Dr. M. Thirunavukkarasu, Head of the Department. Mrs. Nandhini N., Club Coordinator, introduced the vision and objectives of CODEX and outlined the club's activities, including coding contests, hackathons, technical workshops, expert talks, project exhibitions, and skill development programmes.
The official CODEX introduction video and club logo were launched by Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, who also delivered the inaugural address. He encouraged students to strengthen their technical skills, embrace innovation, develop leadership qualities, and actively participate in the club's initiatives.
The programme also featured the introduction of the student office bearers, presentation of club badges, and the administration of the club oath. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a promising beginning for CODEX and inspiring students to pursue excellence in coding, innovation, and lifelong learning.

The Department of Tamil, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai, organized the release of the book "Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature" on 27 July 2026 at the college auditorium.
The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the welcome address by Dr. S. Stalin Sathya, Head of the Department of Tamil. Mrs. Anugraha Adhibhagavan, Director of Mugai Mazhalai School and Academy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the special address. The Correspondent of the College released the book and presented the first copy to the Chief Guest. The Correspondent also presided over the function, while the Directors of the Institution conveyed their felicitations.
In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted the richness of Tamil civilization and culture and emphasized the importance of cultivating the habit of reading in the present generation.
Dr. P. Vignesh Kumar, editor of the volume titled "Cultural Traditions in Tamil Literature," presented an overview of the collection of essays. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, making the event a meaningful celebration of Tamil literary heritage and cultural values.

The session was conducted by Mr. M. Ajithkumar, Senior Tech Expert, Cluster Squad Technologies. Dr. K. Jamberi, Head of the Department of BCA, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of understanding AI concepts and their real-world applications.
The resource person explained how Artificial Intelligence is transforming sectors such as healthcare, education, finance, and automation. The guest lecture on "The Synapse between Data and Intelligence" was delivered by Mr. Shanthababu Pandian, Data and AI Solution Architect, Chennai. He explained key concepts, including biological synapses, data explosion, data quality, the connection between data and intelligence, real-world applications, and the future of AI-driven technologies. His practical examples and interactive discussions encouraged students to explore the growing field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

SACAS Students Lead Census 2027 Awareness Rally.
S.A. College of Arts & Science organized the Census 2027 Awareness Rally on 23 July 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The rally began from the college campus and proceeded to Kaduvetti, aiming to create public awareness about the importance of the upcoming Census 2027.
Around 50 students actively participated in the rally by carrying awareness placards and raising slogans that highlighted the need for accurate census data and public cooperation. The rally was flagged off in the presence of Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent; Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal; Dr. K.S. Prabakar, Admin. Director; the Tahsildar; the Revenue Inspector (RI); and the Village Administrative Officer (VAO). Their presence encouraged students and reinforced the importance of the national census.
The rally successfully reached local residents, spreading awareness about the significance of Census 2027 and encouraging every citizen to participate responsibly. The programme reflected the institution's commitment to promoting civic responsibility and community awareness.
