The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science, organized EMRACE’25 – Orientation Program for Future Leaders on August 26, 2025, at the SACAS Theatre, featuring two insightful sessions by distinguished international speakers.

The first session, held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., was delivered by Mr. Sonic Duran, Commercial Manager, Pandora Logistics (Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam). He highlighted the vital role of logistics in global business, explaining how supply chains drive international trade. He also discussed the impact of technology in streamlining operations and addressed challenges such as customs regulations, transportation issues, and global disruptions.

The second session, conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., featured Dr. Dinesh Elango, Professor of Business, American University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He shared insights on the growing importance of business analytics in decision-making. Demonstrating tools like Power BI and Google Trends, he explained how data visualization and consumer behavior analysis help businesses identify opportunities and stay competitive.

Both sessions enriched students with practical knowledge, preparing them to embrace leadership roles in a dynamic global market.

470 Students from SACAS join Guinness World Record Event supporting “End Polio Now”.

The Rotaract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science proudly participated in a Guinness World Record event titled “End Polio Now,” on 24th August, 2025. Organized by Rotary International and the District Rotaract Club of Ambattur, RID 3234. This special event aimed to raise awareness about polio eradication and the power of collective action.

A remarkable 470 students from the college took part, showing their strong commitment to global health and social responsibility. Their participation added great value to the record attempt and highlighted the importance of youth in driving positive change.

The event inspired students to become ambassadors for a healthier, polio-free world and to take pride in being part of a global cause. It was more than a record-breaking moment—it was a powerful reminder that united efforts can truly make a difference.

Together, they stood for a future without polio—one step closer to ending the disease forever.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science organized an EMRACE’25- Orientation program for future leaders on August 25, 2025, Timing: 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, at the SACAS Theatre Mr.Narendranath Uppala, Chief mentor Narenn Edutech consulting, Malaysia was the guest speaker. 

The session provided students with valuable insights on planning, c ommunication, professionalism, leadership and developing the skills expected by the industry. The speaker made the session interactive by sharing real-life experiences and examples such as Byju’s and Razor’s losses in China. He wants the MBA students to be a critical thinker and problem solver. He particularly emphasized the importance of practicing strong communication skills. 

Overall, the session was highly beneficial, leaving students motivated to enhance their abilities and prepare effectively for their careers.

our SACAS Boys Chess player Sam Peniel.P of 1st BCOM General A section won the Winner Trophy with 5000/- cash award in the 12 th TAMILNADU STATE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED 2025 at The CLARKE School of Deaf , Mylapoor, date on 23rd & 24th August 2025. And he selected National Level Chess Tournament2025-2026.On behalf of the Department of Physical Education, we extend our heartiest congratulations for further success like this.


Department of Psychology successfully organized a MIME performance on 23.08.2025

As part of the observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, our Department successfully organized a MIME performance on 23rd August 2025 at 5:00 PM at two different community locations – Avadi Lake Park and Ayyapakkam Park.
The students were divided into two groups and performed simultaneously at both venues, ensuring that the message of hope, resilience, and the importance of suicide prevention reached a wider audience.
At Avadi Lake Park, the MIME was followed by meaningful public interactions and a special session with school students. In addition, the team also initiated open conversations on Suicide Prevention Day, encouraging participants to share thoughts, ask questions, and engage in awareness-driven discussions. At Ayyapakkam Park, the MIME performance was complemented by active interactions with
youngsters and the general public, which created space for dialogue on mental well-being and the importance of timely support.

The initiative was well-received at both locations, as the performances and follow-up interactions created an impactful platform for awareness, dialogue, and reflection. The event served as a reminder that mental health matters, suicide is preventable, and every effort counts in fostering hope and support. Through this effort, our department reinforced its commitment to spreading awareness, breaking
stigma, and promoting a message of empathy, care, and collective responsibility towards suicide prevention.


Department of Computer Science, S.A College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with The Nexus Technovate Club, organized a Human Chain Formation on On 23.08.2025

The Department of Computer Science, S.A College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with The Nexus Technovate Club, organized a Human Chain Formation on 23rd August 2025 to mark World Organ Donation Day. The event was held at the SACAS Main Gate from 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.

The program was initiated under the guidance of Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications. Faculty members along with 312 students from the department actively participated in the formation, creating an impactful visual symbol of solidarity and awareness on the importance of organ donation.

The activity aimed to highlight the value of organ donation as a life-saving gesture and to inspire students to become advocates for this noble cause. Through the chain formation, the participants pledged to spread awareness in their community and encourage others to consider organ donation.

The event instilled a strong sense of social responsibility among the students. They gained awareness about the critical need for organ donors and the role youth can play in promoting health and saving lives. The initiative successfully combined knowledge with action, leaving a lasting impact on participants.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts and Science organized Embrace’25 – Orientation Program for Future Leaders on 22nd August 2025 at 1.30pm to 3.00pm in the SACAS Theatre. As part of the program, a Knowledge Sharing Session was conducted by Mr. Anbazhagan, who spoke about the importance of mentoring and its role in entrepreneurial development. He began by introducing the organization, its objectives, and its initiatives to support budding entrepreneurs in building their ventures. Emphasizing that resources alone are not sufficient, he highlighted how structured mentoring guides entrepreneurs by providing industry insights, sharing experiences, and opening networks, while also acting as motivation and continuous support.

Mr. Anbazhagan explained the BYST process, which includes stages such as idea validation, training, funding, and mentoring, ensuring entrepreneurs are supported at every step. He further stressed the significance of post-loan training, noting that support continues even after financial assistance to ensure sustainable growth. The session also featured inspiring BYST success stories, demonstrating how effective mentor–mentee relationships can transform challenges into opportunities, leading to remarkable entrepreneurial achievements and long-term business success.

The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science organized EMBRACE’25 – an orientation program for future leaders on August 22, 2025, at 09:30 am to 11.30 am in the SACAS Theater. Mr. Kothandam S, Head – Human Capital, Nabati Foods India Pvt. Ltd., was the guest speaker for the Knowledge Sharing Session. His session was interactive and thought-provoking, beginning with reflective questions such as “Why MBA?”, “What will you do after MBA?” and “Where do you see yourself after 10 years?”, which encouraged students to think about their career path and future vision.

He further emphasized the difference between vision and mission, highlighting how both play a vital role in shaping professional and personal growth. Mr. Kothandam also stressed the importance of continuous learning, having the right guidance, and aligning MBA education with long-term aspirations. By sharing personal experiences and real-life examples, he inspired students to approach challenges with clarity, determination, and confidence, leaving them motivated to take their MBA journey as a stepping stone for leadership and success.

The Department of Computer Science, S.A College of Arts and Science, in association with The Nexus Technovate Club, organized an Awareness Session on Organ Donation for Good Health and Well-Being on 23rd August 2025 at the SACAS Auditorium. The session was conducted between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.

The guest speaker for the program was Ms. Sujatha S, Associate Director-Courses, Mohan Foundation. She delivered an insightful talk on the significance of organ donation and its role in saving countless lives. Her address highlighted not only the medical importance of organ donation but also the ethical and humanitarian aspects associated with the cause.

The session was organized under the guidance of Mr. P. Chandrasekar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications. Faculty members and 108 students from the department actively participated in the event. The interactive session provided a platform for students to clarify doubts, understand legal procedures, and recognize the critical shortage of organ donors in society.

Outcome:
The program sensitized students about the life-saving impact of organ donation. It encouraged them to adopt a socially responsible mindset, spread awareness, and contribute to the noble cause of health and well-being in the community.

College of Arts & Science, conducted its Maiden Advisory Board Meeting on 23.08.2025 at SOM Board Room at 10.00.a.m. The Correspondent Mr.P.Venkateshraja, The Principal Dr.Malathy Selvakkumar, Director of SOM Dr.Viji.R and the Advisory Board Members Mr. Gokul Santhanam- Senior VP Mphasis, Mr.S.Ganesh- Head of Learning Experience ASME, Mr.Sivakumar- CEO, Capital Market Services, Mr.U.Peter Sahaya Raj CEO, Indygenous Fashions, Mr.S.Jayaraam-DGM Market Development, Business Standard, Dr.Eswar Balaji.K- LineManager, Eship Global Logistics India Pvt Ltd., Mr.Vasanth Lakshman, Principal Partner, Urban Money, Mr.Vinai Katariya Vice President, Barclays, Mr.B.Vijay Kumar, Project Manager, IT BNP Paribas-India Solutions  and the Faculty team of SOM were present. Initially, the Board Members were introduced. The Director of SOM welcomed the members and delivered the opening remarks followed by her the remarks by the Principal and the Correspondent were made. The Board members discussed on how to improve Industry Connect and equip the students based on the industry requirements and promised to give all needed support. The meeting gave insights about industry requirements. The meeting was very productive and will pave way to take the institution to the next level.
