FINCLAVE’26 – Academic Conclave on Fintech and AI in Financial Services
FINCLAVE’26 was successfully organized by the S.A. School of Management (SASOM) on 4th March 2026, under the theme “Role of Fintech in Enhancing Financial Services & Informed Investing.” The conclave aimed to bridge academic knowledge with industry expertise by providing insights into fintech innovations and AI-driven investment strategies.
The program commenced with registration, prayer, and the traditional lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, symbolizing the formal inauguration of the event. This was followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. Viji R., Director – School of Management, who highlighted the significance of fintech in the evolving financial ecosystem. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS), who emphasized the transformative role of technology in modern financial services and the need for students to adapt to emerging digital financial platforms.
Panel Discussion I on the theme “Role of Fintech in Enhancing Financial Services” was moderated by Mr. Glenn Roger Carr, Founder & Director, FINMARK. The distinguished panelists included Mr. K. Suresh, President & CEO, India Cements Investment Services Ltd.; Mr. Vasanth Lakshman, Principal Partner, Urban Money; and Mr. B. Anandan, Channel Manager, ABSL Mutual Fund Ltd. The panel discussion focused on topics such as digital financial services, financial inclusion, transparency in transactions, and the importance of investor awareness in the fintech era.
Panel Discussion II, titled “AI’s Contribution to Better Investment Decisions,” was also moderated by Mr. Glenn Roger Carr. The panelists included Mr. Kannan Rajagopal, Managing Director, KSEMA Wealth Private Ltd., and Mr. K. Swaminathan, Former Global Chief Delivery & Wellness Officer, Bahwan Cybertek. The session explored the growing impact of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation in portfolio management, risk assessment, and informed investment decision-making.
As a token of appreciation, the dignitaries were felicitated for their valuable contributions. The event also featured a Business Quiz, which actively engaged students and enhanced their knowledge of finance and current economic trends.
The program concluded with the Valedictory Session, Certificate Distribution, Vote of Thanks, and the National Anthem.
Overall, FINCLAVE’26 proved to be a highly informative and successful academic conclave, offering students practical exposure to the latest developments in fintech, artificial intelligence, and modern investment practices, thereby contributing significantly to their academic and professional growth.

SACAS Makes History with Landmark MoU to Support Pediatric Cancer Care.
In a remarkable stride toward community engagement, the Department of Accounting & Finance at S.A. College of Arts & Science , through the Association of Accounting & Finance Professionals and the SACAS’IANS Fin Tech Club, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 03 March 2026 with the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Egmore. This milestone makes SACAS the first college to formalize an MoU with the prestigious Government Children’s Hospital.
For the past four years, SACAS students have actively supported children bravely battling cancer by serving food and assisting patients and visitors with compassion and dedication. The formal agreement strengthens this ongoing commitment, ensuring sustained service and structured collaboration in the years ahead.
This achievement reflects the institution’s deep-rooted social responsibility and dedication to meaningful community welfare, while fostering empathy, leadership, and social awareness among students through impactful outreach initiatives.

From Commerce to Corporate Leadership: Empowering Future Governance Professionals at SACAS.
The Corporate Governance Professionals’ Association, under the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, organized an Executive Mentorship Session on 3 March 2026 at the SACAS Auditorium, S.A. College of Arts & Science, Chennai. The session, titled “From Commerce to Corporate Leadership: Opportunities in Governance, Startup, and Strategy,” was delivered by Ms. Kaviya Ravi, Associate Company Secretary and Assistant Manager – Legal & Secretarial at Redington Limited.
Addressing 118 students, she highlighted diverse career pathways available to B.Com graduates, including CA, CS, CMA, MBA, and Law. She emphasized three key corporate domains—Governance, Startup, and Strategy—explaining their role in ensuring compliance, building enterprises, and driving growth. The session also outlined India’s corporate legal framework, covering company law, securities regulations, FEMA, taxation, labour, and sustainability laws.
Ms. Ravi further explained the crucial responsibilities of legal and compliance professionals across a company’s lifecycle, from incorporation and MCA filings to board meetings, regulatory reporting, and contract management, inspiring students to pursue dynamic corporate careers.

Navigating the AI Era: Students Equipped with Future-Ready Corporate Skills at SACAS On 2 March 2026, the Corporate Governance Professionals’ Association, under the aegis of the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, S.A College of Arts & Science organized a Career Navigation session titled “AI Era Corporate Skills: Preparing Yourself to Be Industry-Ready” at the Preview Theatre. The session was delivered by Mr. Baskaran M., Regional HR Manager, Property Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
The session provided valuable insights into the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the corporate sector and its transformative effect on the job market. Mr. Baskaran highlighted key statistics on emerging opportunities, jobs at risk, and roles expected to remain stable. He emphasized the importance of developing future-ready competencies, outlining the top five skills essential for career growth in the AI-driven workplace. He also shared free AI learning resources and practical guidance on meeting corporate hiring expectations.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 124 students benefiting from this industry-oriented career guidance program.

The PG Department of Commerce , S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, successfully organized the academic programme titled “Art of Business Storytelling: Turning Ideas into Influence” on 02 March 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the SACAS Auditorium.
The programme was inaugurated by Ramesh Dugar, President of the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, whose presence added great value to the occasion. The highlight of the event was the insightful special address delivered by Sivakumar Bellan, Business Mentor, who emphasized the power of storytelling in shaping brands, influencing decisions, and building meaningful business relationships. His session inspired students to think beyond numbers and strategies and to communicate ideas with clarity and impact.
The event also featured an engaging panel discussion with distinguished representatives from academia and industry, offering practical perspectives on integrating storytelling into professional practice. The School of Management through the Department of Business Administration, at S.A College of Arts & Science organized an expert lecture on “Managing Change and Organisational Development” on 25 February 2026 at 10:00 AM in the SACAS Auditorium. The session was delivered by Mr. Mani Nachiyappan N., Manager–HRD at Hyundai Motor India Ltd..
The resource person shared valuable insights on the importance of accepting change to foster organizational development. He explained that change is inevitable due to technological advancements, globalization, market competition, and evolving customer expectations. The session provided practical perspectives on how organizations manage change effectively while ensuring sustainable growth in a dynamic business environment.
The lecture was highly interactive, with students raising questions on resistance to change, leadership challenges, and career readiness. Mr. Nachiyappan emphasized adaptability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
Overall, the session was informative and inspiring, helping students recognize the strategic role of HR and change management in organizational success.





S.A. Film Academy (SAFA) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sound Vibes Studios on 27.02.2026
S.A. Film Academy (SAFA) has entered into yet another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (27.02.2026) with Sound Vibes Studios, represented by its Directors, Mr. T. Udhayakumar, a renowned sound engineer of Indian cinema, and Mr. Renjith Venugopal, an upcoming and talented audio engineer, at our SACAS campus.
This collaboration is expected to provide valuable industry exposure and practical learning opportunities for our students in the field of sound engineering and audio production.

The College Day Celebration of S.A. College of Arts & Science was held with great enthusiasm on 26th February 2026 at the college premises in Thiruverkadu, Chennai. The institution, sponsored by the Dharma Naidu Educational & Charitable Trust, organized the grand event with the blessings of its Founder Chairman (Late) Shri D. Sudharssanam .
The function commenced at 9.30 a.m. with the traditional lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku, followed by Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, creating a dignified and festive atmosphere. Thiru D. Dhasarathan (Secretary), presided over the celebration. The Board of Trustees Thiru S. Gopinath (Joint Secretary), Tmt. D. Saraswathi (Director, Sudharsanam Vidyaashram), Dr. S. Aravind (Director, S.A. College of Arts & Science), Thiru D. Sabarinath (Director, S.A. Engineering College), Thiru P. Venkatesh Raja (Correspondent), Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi (Director) and Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar (Principal) graced the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the presence of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Bharathi Baskar, a renowned Tamil Orator, Author, and Pattimandram Speaker, who delivered the Annual Day Address. Her inspiring speech encouraged students to strive for excellence with confidence and social responsibility.

SAFA (S.A. Film Academy) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Phantom Digital Effects Ltd, a leading VFX company known for its rich repertoire of creating breathtaking visual effects for the screen.
Mr. Rajan, Chief Business Officer (CBO), signed the MoU on behalf of his company.
This collaboration is expected to provide valuable industry exposure, hands-on training opportunities, and technical expertise in Visual Effects (VFX) for our students.
