NATIONAL SPORTS DAY 2023

S.A.College of Arts & Science college Department of Physical Education organized 2nd Interdepartmental Cross-Country Race for Boys and girls in the account of National Sports Day at 5.00am to 7.30am , SACAS Campus. Dr.T.C.Nallarasu Director of Physical Education Mar Gregorios College who came as Chief guest for this competition was welcomed and given a memento on behalf of the Department of Physical Education Next the sports pledge was taken by the students who participated in the sports competition. Then our special guest delivered a keynote speech and started the competition by waving the flag. Male students completed 8Kmt and female students completed 6Kmt. Medals and certificates were awarded to the male and female students who came in first 6 places and the competition was completed successfully.

Benefits of Modern Development in Physical Education and Sports Department for Arts and Science College Students

S.A.COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCE Department of Physical Education Organized Sports Orientation Programme on "Benefits of Modern Development in Physical Education and Sports Department for Arts and Science College Students" at 26/07/2023 Wednesday SACAS Auditorium Chief Gust Dr.E.Simson Jesudass ,Assistant Professor ,YMCA College of Physical Education .More than 215 SACAS Boys and Girls Sports students were attended .
Programme started with Tamil Thai Vazhthu by comparing A.R VIMALENDHIREN of 3rd year B.sc nutrition food service management and dietetics, Mr.G.Sivamaran, Director of Physical Education delivered the welcome address and the himself gifted Memento to the special guest wrapped in a Shual and Mr.R.Haribabu,Asst.Director of Physical Education made arrangements and PPT prestation.

Our Chief.Dr.E.Simson Jesudass ,Assistant Professor ,YMCA College of Physical Education explained his wonderful contribution to the students through PPT past one and half hours.

Our sportsmen and women benefited by answering various sports-related queries.

And two College Physical Director (SRM Arts & Science Ramavaram Campus and Sindhi College of Arts and Science) were special visitors of this Programme.

In the end, the National Anthem was sung by everyone to attended thus Sports Orientation programme and ended happily.

SACAS 2nd State Level Inter School T20 Cricket Tournament 2023-2024

The 2nd State Level Inter School T20 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Dr. R. Viji, Director, The School of Management. She gave a brief overview of our college and the importance of sports and health. She tossed the coin and initiated the match cordially by wishing them goodluck.

Our college Beloved Correspondent Thiru.P.Venkatesh Raja Sir felicitated by presenting Winner &Runner Trophies to both the teams who won by their efforts.

YOGA DAY ON 21.06.2023

S. A. College of Arts & Science celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day on 21-06-2023. The programme was coordinated by the Department of Physical Education. Mr. M. Sivamaran, the Director of Physical Education taught the Asanas, Pranayamas, Suryanamaskar to the sports students. Dr. E. Esakkiammal of the Department of Tamil gave a talk on the importance of Yoga and Sports. Mr. Haribabu, Assistant Director of Physical Education coordinated the event. Mr. Novah from the Department of Visual Communication took care of the photography. At the end of the session herbal tea and sprouts were distributed to all.
