The Department of Mathematics, S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Mathelets Club, organized a hands-on workshop titled “Canva Design Essentials” on 28th September 2026 at 12.30 p.m. at the CS Lab
This workshop is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Canva, a widely used digital design platform, and to provide practical exposure to creating visually appealing digital content. The hands-on nature of the programme enabled participants to learn design concepts through practical activities and demonstrations.
The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Gamaliel S, Assistant Professor, Department of Viscom, SACAS, and Ms. Harini T, Technical Instructor, Department of Viscom, SACAS. They guided the participants through essential Canva tools and design techniques, providing practical insights into effective digital content creation.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. M. Arunma, Assistant Professor & Convenor, Department of Mathematics in association with Mathelets Club. This initiative provided students with an opportunity to develop their creativity and digital design skills, which can be applied in academic presentations, posters, social media content and other communication activities.
The workshop reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting skill-based and interdisciplinary learning, enabling students to complement their academic knowledge with relevant digital skills.

S.A. College of Arts & Science organised the NSS Orientation Programme and NSS Day Celebration on 24 September 2026 as part of its commitment to community service and social responsibility. The programme was inaugurated by Thiru P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, S.A. Institutions.
The event was graced by Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi, Director, Dr. K. S. Prabhakar, Director – Administration, Training and Placement, and Dr. S. Anbalagan, Principal, who delivered their special addresses and encouraged students to actively engage in social service activities.
The Chief Guest, Mr. C. Jayachandran, Assistant Commissioner, Avadi Traffic Sub-Division, Avadi Police Commissionerate, addressed the students on the importance of NSS activities such as tree planting, blood donation, and community service. He highlighted how such initiatives help students develop their personality, leadership, and sense of social responsibility. He also emphasised the importance of road safety and encouraged students to follow traffic rules and create awareness among others.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. K. Suresh, NSS Coordinator, and served as a meaningful platform to inspire students towards community service, responsible citizenship, and social awareness.

The Career Development Cell (CDC) of S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS) organised a campus recruitment drive in collaboration with Muthoot Homefin on 16 September 2026. The drive provided students with an opportunity to explore career prospects and gain firsthand exposure to the corporate recruitment process. The selection process included a One-to-One Interview round, during which students demonstrated their skills, confidence and professional potential. The participating students actively engaged in the recruitment process and showcased their readiness to take up professional responsibilities. The initiative forms part of the CDC’s continuous efforts to bridge the gapbetween academic learning and industry expectations while creating meaningful placement opportunities for students. The recruitment drive also enabled students to understand workplace requirements and develop greater confidence in facing industry-level selection processes. SACAS appreciated the active participation of the students and wished them success in their future professional endeavours.

The Department of Hindi, S.A. College of Arts & Science, under the banner of Saahas Sangam – Hindi Association, organised the Investiture Ceremony & Hindi Diwas on 21 September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the SACAS Auditorium. The programme aimed to promote Hindi language and culture while fostering student leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and active participation.
The ceremony formally introduced the newly appointed office bearers of Saahas Sangam – Hindi Association and entrusted them with responsibilities to organise literary, cultural, and academic activities under the guidance of the Department of Hindi.
The programme was graced by Mrs. C. Gunasundari, Hindi HOD, Hindi Department, Sudharsanam Vidyaashram CBSE School, who shared valuable insights on the importance of language, education, discipline, and leadership. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. M.V. Vinthy, Head of Hindi Department and Convenor.
The Hindi Diwas celebration further highlighted the significance of Hindi language, literature, and cultural heritage. The event provided students with a meaningful platform to develop confidence, creativity, communication, teamwork, and cultural awareness, marking the beginning of a new phase of student leadership and active participation.

The School of Management, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised a Human Chain Activity to commemorate the International Day of Peace on 21 September 2026 at the SACAS Campus Gate. The programme was held from 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and was initiated with the encouragement of Principal Dr. S. Anbalagan, who motivated students to actively participate in the awareness activity.
Nearly 90 BBA students enthusiastically took part in the human chain, carrying creative charts featuring meaningful diagrams, inspiring messages and thought-provoking quotes on world peace. The activity aimed to create awareness about the importance of peace, unity and cooperation in society. The human chain symbolised solidarity, collective responsibility and teamwork in building a harmonious world. The students conveyed the inspiring message, “Together, We Can Achieve Peace.” The programme concluded successfully, fostering greater awareness of peace and global harmony among the participants.

The PG Department of Computer Science, in association with The Nexus Technovate Club, organised an Alumni Talk – “ALUMNIXCHANGE 2.0” on 24 September 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at SF 21, S.A. College of Arts & Science. The programme aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the IT industry, career opportunities, professional skills, and the transition from academics to the workplace.
The session featured two distinguished alumni as resource persons: Mr. Saravanan M, Scholar Trainee, Wipro Technologies, Chennai, and Mr. Praveen Kumar G, Administrator – Cloud Data Center, Wipro Technologies, Coimbatore. They shared their academic and professional experiences and highlighted the importance of technical and problem-solving skills, continuous learning, programming, cloud technologies, communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
An interactive student–alumni discussion provided students with an opportunity to clarify their queries on career preparation, industry expectations, technical skills, and professional growth. The speakers also encouraged students to pursue projects, internships, certifications, technical events, and skill-development activities.

S.A. College of Arts & Science Celebrates Graduation Day as Hon’ble Governor Urges Youth to Drive Viksit Bharat 2047.
S.A. College of Arts & Science celebrated its Graduation Day on September 23, 2026, on the college campus. Organized under the guidance of the Dharma Naidu Educational & Charitable Trust. The memorable ceremony brought together trustees, faculty, distinguished guests, and proud families to celebrate student achievement.
The program began with a solemn academic procession, after which Chairman Thiru. D. Duraiswamy officially opened the proceedings. Principal Dr. S. Anbalagan welcomed the gathering. The ceremony was graced by the Board of Trustees, including Vice Chairman Thiru. D. Paranthaman, Secretary Thiru. D. Dhasarathan, Treasurer Thiru. S. Amarnaath, Joint Secretary Thiru. S. Gopinath, Director, Sudharshan Vidhyashram Tmt. D. Saraswathi, Director of SACAS Dr. S. Aravind, Director of S.A. Engineering College Thiru. D. The Chief Guest, Thiru. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu and Keralam, awarded degree certificates to the Graduates. A total of 1,065 graduates received their degrees, while 11 university rank holders and 22 academic toppers were honored for exceptional academic achievements.
In his address, the Governor encouraged graduates to turn their ideas into enterprises, create jobs, and actively contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He highlighted how the support of parents, teachers, and society helps shape well-rounded, responsible citizens.
During the ceremony, Correspondent Thiru. P. Venkatesh Raja administered the graduation pledge, with graduates repeating the solemn words after him. The event concluded with the signing of the convocation register and the national anthem, leaving the new graduates inspired for their journey ahead.

The Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC) of S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IQAC, organised a Workshop on Fevicryl Craftpreneur on 10 and 11 September 2026 at FF09. The session was led by Mrs. L. Karpagavalli, Fevicryl Certified Professional Trainer.
The workshop focused on transforming creativity and artistic skills into entrepreneurial opportunities. Students received valuable hands-on exposure to craft-making and explored ways to turn their creative talents into potential income-generating ventures. The interactive sessions encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and consider craft-based business ideas.
The programme provided a meaningful blend of creativity, practical learning, and entrepreneurship, inspiring students to recognise the potential of their skills and talents. The School of Management, S.A. College of Arts & Science organised MMA Student Chapter Inauguration by Mr.G.P.CAPT.Dr.R.Ventaraman, General Manager ,Madras Management Association on 16/09/2026 at 9.30am at LC3.
In his gracious address, Mr. G.P.CAPT.Dr.R.Ventaraman through this inauguration he provided students with an opportunity to understand the significance of professional management associations and their role in connecting academic learning with real-world business practices. The programme highlighted the importance of developing leadership qualities, communication skills, teamwork, and managerial abilities. It also encouraged us to actively participate in activities and events conducted by MMA and make use of opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
His encouraging words resonated with the students, event motivated them to take an active role in the MMA Student Chapter and participation in future seminars, workshops, and other professional development activities. It marked the beginning of new opportunities for learning, collaboration, and personal growth. The programme left a positive impression and encouraged students to become more confident, responsible, and professionally prepared individuals.
