The Career Development Cell of S.A. College of Arts & Science successfully organized Placement Day 2026 on 30th March 2026 at the college auditorium. The programme was conducted to celebrate the remarkable placement achievements of students and to motivate them to build a strong professional future.
The programme was graced by Mr. N. Lakshminarasimhan, Senior General Manager, Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., who delivered an inspiring address emphasizing integrity, discipline, and continuous learning for career success.
Placement Day 2026 reflected the institution’s strong commitment towards academic excellence and industry collaboration. This year, the highest salary package offered to students was ₹8.5 LPA. More than 700 students were successfully placed through the efforts of the Career Development Cell, and over 50 reputed recruiters participated in the placement process.
The highlight of the programme was the distribution of offer letters to the selected students. The presence of parents made the event more emotional and memorable, as many parents expressed their pride and happiness while witnessing their children receive placement offers. Students also shared heartfelt feedback and thanked the Career Development Cell for their continuous support and guidance.
Another proud moment of the programme was the honouring of the Placement Coordinator and the Placement Assistance team for their dedicated efforts in guiding students and achieving successful placements. Their contribution was appreciated by the management, faculty members, students, and parents.
Students, parents, and faculty members participated in the programme, making it a grand success. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, management, faculty members, students, parents, and the placement team for making the event a memorable and inspiring celebration.

The Department of Commerce (Accounting & Finance), S.A. College of Arts & Science, in association with the SACAS Association of Accounting & Finance Professionals and the SACAS’ians Fin.Tech Club, organised a four-day Yoga and Meditation Training Programme at Kanha Shanti Vanam from 17 to 20 March 2026, in collaboration with the Heartfulness Educational Trust.
The programme, conducted for the fourth consecutive year, aimed at promoting holistic development, mindfulness, leadership skills, and personal discipline among students who had completed the HELM training. Participants engaged in guided meditation, yoga sessions, group discussions, and wellness activities. Practical exposure included visits to a chocolate factory, nursery, and large-scale kitchen operations, helping students understand sustainability, teamwork, and respect for food.
A visit to Charminar provided real-time insights into marketing practices. The programme concluded successfully, offering students enriching experiences in spiritual growth and personal transformation, under the guidance of Dr. G. Purushothaman (SPOC) and faculty coordinators.

The President of The Renaissance presented a detailed report on the activities and achievements of the association, highlighting a successful year. A special video clip featuring faculty members who had left the college deeply touched everyone present. Both teachers and students shared their heartfelt experiences, making the moment even more meaningful.

The event began with an invocation and welcome address by the Head of the Department, followed by the introduction and felicitation of distinguished speakers.
Dr. K. Kanthimathi’s session emphasized how language shapes identity and can empower through inclusivity. Ms. Sherly Hephzibah highlighted the role of storytelling in shaping human thought and emotions. Post-break sessions featured Ms. G. Nithya Priya, who demonstrated the significance of sign language as a unique linguistic system, and Mr. Sethu Darwin, who explored the connection between literature and theatre.

Guest Lecture on Financial Mindset Empowers Commerce Students at SACAS
The PG Department of Commerce (General), S.A. College of Arts & Science, organised a Guest Lecture on “Dream – Plan – Prosper: The Financial Mindset of Modern Youth” on 18 March 2026 at 9:30 AM in SF12. The programme aimed to create awareness among students on the importance of financial planning and responsible decision-making at an early stage.
The session was delivered by CMA V. Subha, Faculty at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Chennai, US-CMA Course Faculty, and SEBI-approved SMART Trainer (NSE & NSDL). The speaker highlighted key aspects of personal finance, including budgeting, saving, disciplined spending, and informed investment decisions.
The lecture also emphasised financial literacy and encouraged students to adopt a proactive approach towards their financial future. It further provided insights into career opportunities in finance.
The interactive session proved highly informative, equipping students with essential financial skills for long-term stability and success.

The Department of *Home Science – Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics (HS-NFSMD)* and *F3 Nutrition Club* successfully organised the *Intercollegiate Event – NUTRISACENZA* on 16.03.2026 at SACAS Auditorium.
The event was conducted with the theme “Healthy Lifestyle – Fueling Minds, Forging Champions.” Around *120 participants from 10 colleges* enthusiastically took part and shared positive feedback about the programme.
The competitions included *Zero Flare (Fire-Free Cooking), Chromacraft (T-Shirt Painting), Brand Storm (Adzap), Food Sculpt (Food Carving), Poster Verse (Poster Making), and Artfluence (Awareness through any form of art).* These events creatively highlighted the importance of *healthy food choices, nutrition awareness, and lifestyle practices*, encouraging students to promote health through innovation, creativity, and communication.
